I have so many fics to recommend but just a quick note🌟

- most of these recommendations will be completed fics (with the occasional wip that I love)

- I have no specific preference for fic so it’ll just be a range of so many different hollanov AUs and plots HAHA (im a woman of many multitudes I can’t be held to just one type of story)

also I know this doesn’t need to be said buttttt as a friendly reminder, if you don’t like something don’t read it!

pls remember that fic authors are putting in their time, effort, and love into sharing a piece of art about their favorites for free and for your enjoyment! be nice, share comments and kudos where you can (authors should be praised and hyped for their beautiful minds and work!), don’t leave hate comments, don’t accuse someone’s work of AI (even if you have an itching suspicion it might be) and have fun!

Here we have baby Luca, freshly drafted to the Centaurs face to face with his absolute idol, Ilya Rozanov, who he’s written inexplicable smut about. But even better, he’s written one of the most popular hollanov fics in the fandom and spends his rookie year in fear that someone will find out he was writing smut about them.

How does he spend this year? By being absolutely on guard and skittish HAHA

ALSO may I add, he’s actively updating his social media (his fan accts) throughout this time and as he uncovers more hollanov crumbs, he’s venting and ranting on stan twitter about how he knows hollanov is real.

It’s a fun mix of a social media fic and writing, I love the whimsy of my luca8124 🫰🏼 the end of this story made it even more worth the read and I will scream this suggestion from the Vegas rooftop of hollanovs tux kiss

Here we have adult supreme ™️ Shane Hollander (as according to the Centaur rookies) who they seek out to solve mundane issues & accidentally becomes their go to for every minor emergency known to man however shane doesn’t know it all and actually ends up giving them fucked advice at some point HAHA

It’s a 5 + 1 style ficlet, super funny, fast read, and is a good play to Shane’s dynamic with the team’s rooks after signing with the Centaurs. Some minor OCs that don’t really affect the point of the story and are perfectly embedded to the storyline. It’s a refreshing change to the rookie relationships that are usually paired with Ilya in fics 🤗

this takes place post fan mail incident but just right before Ottawa where Shane is followed out by a group of guys, clear in their intent to harm him.

But bc he’s Shane mf Hollander, it doesn’t really work out HAHA the method and thought process behind it is really fun bc obviously Shane would be very methodological about how to beat their ass while also trying not to get charged with anything

I’m a big fan of this trope, I think we forget that Shane is an athlete in a very physical sport and just bc he chooses not to fight, doesn’t mean he can’t hold his own 😏😉

decided to try my hand on editing again bc it’s fun and why not :p & bc this song is so Shane Hollander that I couldn’t rest without getting this out of my brain 🙈

Story takes place post-rose but diverges from canon where Shane doesn’t take shit from the metros and leaves Montreal in search for something better and a new team 😜 told from multiple povs to give a comprehensive story told over a year and some change of time, ALSO includes canon events but just bent for the timeline of the story obv

There were so many things I loved about this fic but a few specific things (very vaguely so I don’t spoil anything):

- Shane’s characterization!! imo it wasn’t ooc but everyone has their own perception of his character so idk but I wish his willpower and confidence in this fic was canon 🥲

- the development of other main characters and their story arcs (I love Scott so much in this story)

- the smooth insertion of OCs that didn’t feel out of place or odd to have

- little cameos of all the characters from this universe that made sense for the plot
