I’ve gotten a few questions on what he’s actually saying, and yes, there is specific dialogue.

I figured I might as well share the whole thing as it was supposed to be, to end the mystery once and for all:

I currently work as a freelance comics artist. Since completing animation studies in 2016, I’ve gone a little rusty on that particular subject. (I don’t feel fully educated tbh) The reasons for giving up on this animation was not only Ganondorf’s time consuming, non-animation-friendly design, but also my messy and chaotic (impatient) workflow and kind of sucky lip-sync.

From the thinkable outcomes, I have to say that I’m relieved. And as much as I’d love to have a TP skin as an option, OoT Ganondorf feels like a fair second best. I’ll miss his beard a lot though. 

There’s only one thing I notice that kind of puzzles me;

What on earth is going on with his headpiece?

Compared to the artwork I’d say they blowed it up a little too much. This is just my personal taste speaking, but it looks like a metal dragonfly with big marbles stuck on it. With all the marbles so big, it lacks contrast and balance.

I mean all right, in OoT they made that jewel on his forhead look like a giant caterpillar...

Speaking of headpieces, TP Ganondorf’s piece looks kind of like a frog. They rendered that one quite accurately though.

I guess making a headpiece that doesn’t look like a bug or a frog is a mighty challenge, so we might as well accept it.

Let’s not forget how TP Ganondorf almost became this gorgeous chicken man (The headpiece shaped like an alien race car):

However, if a huge dragonfly on his forehead is all I have to accept, I’ll be happy to see Ganondorf being his younger, edgy self.

No, really,

In Smash 4 they somehow made Ganondorf too soft and rounded - very obvious on the WiiU, not as visible on the 3DS. But he doesn’t look very evil, he’s just a grumpy old man.

That aside, the TP and OoT versions each radiate their own kind of vibe. TP Gan is this big block of a dude, while OoT Gan is this rebel-looking medieval biker.

I think I can dig both.

I’ll say... fairly yayWind Waker Ganondorf certainly has more depth as a character, or gets to show more of himself story-wise. Also, he actually knows how to use a sword (or swords). (TP Gan seems to be defined by his poor choice of weapon and tactics)

Nintendo didn’t quite manage to give WW Gan a flattering (nor intimidating) appearance when viewed from the front, though.

Compared to TP Gan, his way of clothing seems fairly plain - which becomes even more apparent paired up with the WW toon rendering. I’d love to see how it’d actually work if interpreted in a more realistic fashion, perhaps with a few added details. Not as far out as TP Gan’s getup though - whoever designed that armor of his really must’ve insisted on that more is more.

From what I gather, OoT, TP and WW Ganondorf are all the same dude in different eras of his life (or, both TP and WW Gan spring from OoT I suppose). That has me enjoying all three of them for various reasons, although I’m definitely obviously most into TP Gan ~ ♥
