i love the imagery of a society of mouse people once being a stereotypical mouse society that live in little dens and make cheese but then they go under attack and become a culture of battle-hardened warriors

The fact that they both became so desperate to not fail at their respective goals just to have an enormously horrific outcome due to that desperation is sooooo deliciously awesome. Also them both being weapons for and against the spiral and being emotionally or in some cases literally manipulated to be that weapon isssss soooo muchhhhh that it makes me want to gnaw my arm off.
