pop health science is so annoying bc it'll be like "did you know? eating strawberries will give you mega cancer" and you're like pfft whatever begone influencer. but sometimes then you'll see a reasonably credible article like "Study Shows Possible Link Between Strawberries and Mega Cancer" and you're not usually the type to follow that kind of thing religiously but idk maybe you should consider not eating strawberries? but then there's another article saying "Strawberry/Mega Cancer Study Debunked" and it turns out the original study had a sample size of 3 and was funded by Big Blueberry, and strawberries may have a small connection to mega cancer but only if you are genetically predisposed to mega cancer and eat 50 strawberries every day. so you return to your strawberry eating life. but whenever you eat strawberries in public someone tells you about the mega cancer.
how splendid

Today at therapy was really hard. I was sitting here crying, and generally being miserable, when I felt a nudge at my knee. I looked down to see that Zeus, my service dog, was doing his job… and brought me a potato. it is very hard to cry with a gift of potato.
Remember this? I’m having a rough time right now. Zeus has a solution.
That would be an empty pill bottle, the *correct* pill bottle, a bottle of embossing powder, and two, TWO potatoes.
Oh my goodness, what a delightful creature.
he keeps doing things
he's still doing it
oh.......he's too big now. Belphegor will have to leave his childish pursuits behind him.

Always tough seeing how rampant polyphobia still is online with the same hateful talking points as any queerphobia. People openly and snarkily celebrating someone grieving a break up in a poly or open relationship because they’re “bound to fail” and “hopefully you learned your lesson” (as if every queer relationship hasn’t faced this exact scrutiny in the past. “See, this gay couple broke up. Yet another example of why homosexuality is destined to fail because it’s unnatural.”).
But then I remember how everyone IRL I’ve trusted to talk to about my poly relationship has either been immediately accepting of it or been really curious and asked me to explain how it works. And when I do, they go, “Huh. I don’t get it but it sounds like it works for you.” The best response was when Tulli explained navigating jealousy and compersion to an older, married person and they went, “Wow, I wish I heard this stuff when I was younger.” It’s a good reminder that in real life people suck less and have more stakes and motivation to show basic human empathy. Harder to be a random dickhead when you can’t just say something shitty to a stranger and run away scot-free.

I’m not the woman I was a few years ago or even a year ago but I still like to hold her hand and remind her she did her best with what she knew
He’s being forced to play mtg arena
I got the colours for jimmy…
I was going to chose green like some suggested, but I didn’t like the dye lot:/
Also it will be a long time until he’ll get his sweater, i have to finish Moose’s first. But I will make a video of all of Jimmy’s fittings and post some pics too while it’s in progress
Really wanted to try to get a nice photo of Sticky Bob.
Sticky Bob had other ideas.
Thanks Sticky Bob. These are certainly something

ahhhhh, I'm so conflicted about the pangur thing. because a dog would be so physically and mentally healthy for ME (selfish reasoning), and she's tanked multiple puppies before without showing an adverse reaction (Rusty Nail, the "bernedoodle", and the cockapoo monster), but also she's old, and what if?? but also! she's in good health and still physically active, and I fully expect both Pangur and Grim to truck it out until they're twenty (so like, 6-7 more years). but also what if??
the past few times she has had pancreatitis, it's been after an introduction to a new cat (Belphie, Wednesday, my mom's fosters), so I really do think cats bother her more than dogs. possibly, this has also been due to her catching a cat-specific pathogen from them (feline coronavirus from Belphie, who-knows-what from Wednesday, stomach bug from my mom's fosters), which isn't something that would happen with a dog. but also, what if???
