Two-Bit had to stifle a laugh to preserve the boy’s dignity. “Spider?” 

Dally nodded vigorously. “Damn thing was in my bed when I woke up. Hit it halfway across the room, but…” He grimaced. “I don't have a clue where it went.” 

“Need me to get it?” Two rubbed his hands together in dramatic anticipation. “We can call it the great spider hunt of 1965. They'll tell my story for years to come.” 

The blond sighed, but dropped to sit on his comforter, crossing his legs and tapping a nervous staccato on one of his boots. “Just… deal with it. Fuckin’ please or whatever.” 

“Sir, yes, sir!” Two-Bit saluted, setting off on his journey to find the spider.
