His love and mine

We say we believe in His Word. We say it is our truth. But imagine for a minute if we truly, whole-heartedly, without any doubt or reservations took His words as absolute complete truth. Imagine if we actually believed what He says. We’d believe Him when He says that total trust in Him brings supernatural peace. We’d love people even when it was difficult, and wouldn’t let chaos in this world shake us. We’d live our lives differently. Our joy would be constant, and our lives would be a walking testament to His truth.

“If you have to lower your morals in order to find love, then it is not love that you are finding.”

He’s not calling us to a relationship of convienience. He’s calling us to a relationship of faithfulness. As He will be utterly faithful to us, we owe it to Him, despite our human frailty, to be faithful in return.

Anxiety focuses on the outcome you don’t know. Faith focuses on the faithfulness of God you do know. Take a breath and shift your focus.

I can’t brag about my love for God because I fail Him daily, but I can brag about His love for me because it never fails.
