I auditioned for GSA (Guildford School of Acting), LSMT (London School of Musical Theatre) and Mountview Academy of Theatre Arts before summer. It was a really interesting process and I thought it may be useful to share for anyone else intending to audition at any of these schools!

While I was only auditioning for Masters courses, some of the information is applicable for Bachelors courses too (for GSA we auditioned with the BA callbacks).

Everyone seems to have thoughts on StageCon right now so I thought I'd add mine to the fray!

The general focus seems to be on the price of tickets right now, so I talked a bit about that and what they're offering for that princely sum, but also about potential ticketing issues no one seems to have picked up on!

I filmed this two weeks ago after two previous weeks of troubles with my throat. Unfortunately the troubles are still persisting, hence the lack of videos from me recently!

So if anyone had been wondering, this is how I managed to mess up my voice pretty badly - you should probably try avoid the things I was doing if you're a singer or care about your voice at all!

Read the Book of Dust: La Belle Sauvage by Phillip Pullman recently and it reminded me how much I loved the world he created in the His Dark Materials trilogy, or more specifically how much I loved the concept of Daemons!

I've been feeling that I've gotten a bit stuck with my singing. I've been taking lessons, going along to choir and doing shows for a good long while now, and while I manage to work on individual songs and improve them, I haven't really felt that my voice on the whole has improved much. I've just been feeling a bit stuck tbh.

However since finishing university, and probably just getting a lot of that stress off of my back, I'm feeling for the first time in a very very long time that I'm actually making some progress with my voice as a whole and not just on the individual songs.

In the past few days there's been a bit more of a conversation than normal happening about using mobile phones in theatres and I felt I had a point that I feel isn't mentioned much in this discussion.

I thought it would be a good idea to talk make a video talking about reasons why you shouldn't use your mobile in theatres, and some ideas if you do genuinely need to check your phone!
