Another anon. Sorry if this is annoying but I feel ranty about DBH. But. I was so upset with Markus. Just because of Jesse. Obviously his story arc is heavily a parallel for the BLM movement and for slavery, no matter what Cage says, and I was upset he didn’t deliver his character well. It was exceptionally disappointing due to how heavily Jesse is in support of BLM and equality among all people in general, which I assume is why he took the role, but he was so stiff and uninspiring. (Con.)
(2/2)His character was supposed to be so strong and supposed to have so much drive but he sounded like he couldn’t care less and I honestly thought Jesse would’ve put so much more into the role considering his stances irl. And ik he can deliver emotion. I’ve seen him in other things. But god. He really was JUST a robot. And again. Sorry about this but you’re the only one Ik who knows this game and I just finished it so I needed to say that. I just wanted so much more from a supposed rev. leader.
Well, we can’t exactly put on a character what the person does in their real life time. I would’ve loved to see the same passion and gusto that Jesse carries from the movement in the game, but let’s be real here, do you think he wanted to? The game in, a sense, is a mockery of it.
It’s like Jesse found out half way through what the fuck was going on and how much Cage was pushing “dis iz not po-leet-e-call” and Jesse just threw all his emotions in the dumpster. Can’t say I blame him. Also, have you noticed that Jesse ain’t said SHIT about the game? It’s the only thing on Bryan’s twitter basically, and Valorie started streaming with her brother. Jesse? RADIO SILENCE AND I LOVE IT.
