after ty lee and mai betray her, while she’s attacking the western air temple & zuko, her hair frays and she eventually pulls out her hairpin to catch herself on the cliff side, a hint at the self destruction she’s willing to endure to achieve her goal

and ofc when she becomes firelord and has her psychotic episode, she cuts her hair into a ragged mess

This is Azula with a smaller top knot

Azula #1 is about to wreck all of Omashu. Azula #2 totally crafted that outfit out of a trashbag because she (lacking a large top knot) didn’t have enough brain cells to use cloth.

If you look above you see an Azula with a very large top knot. Arguably this was one of her smartest moments. She did fantastic here. Wrecked everyone’s shit.

In this picture you can clearly see that she has no top knot. This is the same scene where she banishes everyone. in other words, no top knot = no self control!!!

So u will notice taht her top knot is rather loose, that means tht her brain cells are slowly leaking out

Aaaand they gone! All of tehm! Because her top knot gone.And since top knot gone, brain cells gone. This bitch walked right over a water grated (if u watch the bloopers her ridiculously pointy shoe got hooked on one of the holes in it and she tripped and she landed on Katara and they both died of embarrassment and Cabbage Man’s second favorite cabbage won the agni kai–it’s the fire lord now). We all know that walking onto th e grate was a bad idea. Except Azula didn’t because her top knot is gone and so she has no brain cells

Before anyone can say it

“but bellatrix, look up she was really smart in that scene and her top knot is smaller than ever!!!” 

I point ur attention to the headpiece. CHECKM8! See the headpiece is like the size of her whole head. Adding a headpiece to a top knot enhances its power x10!!!! So even if top knot is smaller than Zuko’s will to live after seeing Iroh in a hot tub, she still has galaxy brain because the headpiece has powered her tiny top knot up. 

Conclusion:

obviously no top knot. but there’s a ponytail so like sort of top knot but knot really. Ur probably wondering ‘kay, but what was dumb that she did here’. 

Well zuko left teh door open and after this scene Azula went back 2 bed. Now if she had been wearing her top knot she would have shut the door b4 laying back down again. But since no top knot she didn’t close the door, she laid back down and got all nice and comfy. N i’m talking, she found the sweet spot; that sleeping position u find when u have work in the morning but it’s so comfy u don’t want to get up. So bcoz she was lacking a top knot and didn’t think 2 close the door while she waz up she had to lay there in bed thinking about weahter or not 2 get up n close it or just risk the demons coming in 2 get her.
