Leon kneels down to get a better look at the pokémon in question. It's not like he's all that surprised to see one in Lumiose—they're hardly a Galar exclusive—but it's... nice, all the same. He'd always thought they were a little underused.

"Falinks has been with me ever since I was younger." Ivor exclaimed brightly, grateful that somebody appreciates the Falinks since Falinks are rarely used. "And yeah we're very close! It took some time for them to get used to me but now we have a much stronger bond!" He agreed, watching the Falinks march around Leon happily.

"I'm in complete agreement, Ivor. But the mayor will not listen to me. And I'm not in much of a position to force the issue to him. I've made my thoughts known, they've been ignored, and if I continue to press it, congratulations, no more Mable in Lumiose."

She sighs. How on earth did his sister put up with him...?

"The most I can do is keep track of what's happening and continue to report my findings to him. And then those findings go ignored. I've been against this from day one. This isn't the way to get people and Pokemon living together."

And there was still the question of why all these Pokemon were flocking to the city. She had a few leads, but nothing definitive yet. She had to keep researching further. She had to figure this out.

Ivor seemed hesitant, processing the director's response. If Mabel continues to press it, no more Mable in Lumiose? He knew better than to keep pushing it with Mable but he understood what Mable meant. "..." He remained silent. Tourism. He wasn't too happy about the mayor caring all about the tourism and how much money it makes for the city. He wasn't sure what to say now. What can he say?

Ivor was basically crushing her small hand! Almost before her mind can react, Tor let out a really loud scream before a bunch of Psychic energy built up.

Latias used Psychic!

The attack struck Ivor's hand to force his hand off of her. Once she was freed, Tor went invisible.

!? Meganium was still processing what just happened. Did he just... crush her trainer's hand like that? Suddenly... she doesn't think that she wants pets from this nice man anymore.

"It was an accident." He muttered out nervously, catching up on the fact that Tor used Psychic on him. Wait. Psychic? Only Pokemon can use a Psychic move but that thought went away when he processed Tor going invisible. "Wait, how?! How are you able to..." He trailed off, noticing Tor reappearing behind Meganium.

Still, Meganium and Tor couldn't help but look at each other. Not only did they have privileged information from Vinnie about the whole Rogue Mega Evolution thing, but, since she's a Latias, she's been seeing a link between said Mega Evolutions and the Wild Zones. Sure, she didn't want them to be up either, but it's one of the things that she's investigating while her sister's away.

And he just... wants to put the Wild Zones down... just like that?

"Oh, uh. Heh. That's... a lofty goal, Mister. You know, in a way, I think you share some of the same things with Quasartico if you think about it. Though, I'm actually a part of the Royale to investigate why the zones are there, too. Tho I'm not sure about needing self-defense classes myself."

A Latias getting self-defense courses just sounds like a mess.

Despite everything, she could sense that he seemed like an all-around nice guy, so there's no need for her to get too afraid. "Uh... anyway, my uh... name is Tor. I'm... from the Unova region, but I was living in Sinnoh with my big sister until recently. Meganium and I are actually a part of Team MZ. You've... heard of us, right? We're working to protect Lumiose City from threats and harm. It's good to meet you, Mister, uh..."
