Yesterday I tried to buy a fan, but they're obviously sold out. I mentioned to Steff that I might try sleeping downstairs last night, since our living room is several degrees cooler than the rest of the house. And then, suddenly, at bed time, he ran away to the study, and I heard the sound of Enthusiastic But Dyspraxic Rummaging, and I had enough time to think "Oh no, there will Consequences" and then SUDDENLY, Tumblrs, SUDDENLY there he was triumphantly holding up an actual fucking desk fan.

(To my knowledge we have never owned a desk fan.)

And he was like "I remembered! :D We own this! :D :D :D"

And I was like. Since when.

And he was like "Since years! I got it for an Edinburgh show years ago when it was roasting hot in the room, and at the end of the run no one wanted to take it back. So I did. And now you can use it tonight! :D :D"

"But, don't you want to use it?" I said, baffled, and he gave me a solemn look.

"I love you more than I want to be comfortable," he said.

So I think I need to marry him again.
