Relationship statuses depends heavily on development between the characters. If the characters click well together, a Semi-AU verse is created as purpose of greater focus. Canon verse relationships are built from extreme focus, to ensure that there is no heavy neglecting in favour of others, as encountered before and greatly undesirable. I do not wish to set my muses’ canon relationships with people, only to be neglected. having experienced that before. Development becomes slow and almost impossible thanks to that, and it really riles me up. I will not commit to a canon relationship if you are unable to move along with my muse’s growth. Partners must share the same interest in character and relationship development. That being said, Semi-AU relationships are not neglected by me either, and tend to carry greater importance than that of random threads, be it planned or not. Their development is what that draws me.
