<< 水 >> ---- To rise and fall like the sun and its shadow, that was the task of any Kages, be it in her village, or another. Each knew their task well, and that was to bring their Homeland to glorious days, especially now after the war, instead of tainted darkened names they might have carried. Rain, that was what Amekagure was famous for. Depressing, truly, rain could be. But as a ninja of water, Mei knew well the effects of rain, and how it could be. The heavenly spears might fall each day without reprise, but like Kirigakure, they would change the image.
There will be no more Bloody Mist, she would ensure that well during her time as the Mizukage.
The War had been at a terrible cost, but it seems that almost everything had a silver lining, the brunette believing that such would be a trigger to the change -- a change she desired others to comprehend and accept. One of the very reasons why she had appeared in Konoha. An alliance not only aided in the village in times of danger -- though it might prove futile in an emergency, considering the distance that had to be crossed for help to arrive, a body of water lying between the two, but also to wash away the taint of the past, to attach themselves to the epitome of light was to rebrand Kirigakure, allow it to be seen under a new image.
It would not be an easy feat, a task that could very well take years despite all that had happened, but it was her target, their destination, and determination would drive her through. Much like the Hokages she stood before, image etched upon rock to forever remember their contributions.
Gaze wandered and traveled, frosted grass fixing upon the one who had interrupted her deep thoughts with an introduction to what she admired in silence, hand fallen from line of sight to her side; relaxed with no signs of slipping into a offensive stance, or one that would hint at hand seals being formed.
Instead, a smile would spread upon painted lips as the opposite hand would reach to pry hat off, to reveal porcelain skin and focused oculars. It was only polite to do so when one had been addressed after all. "They must have been well-loved..." A croon of alto voice, as feet would leave position, female gliding towards the shinobi before her. An escort, perhaps that ought to have been expected, though it came as no cause for concern for the Mizukage.
The silver hair, the mask, the tilted headband. Of course she knew of him. Copy Ninja Kakashi.
Once upon a time she had desired to meet him, but that was a thing of long ago, when she was still no more than a naive child. But she was a composed woman now, one who had already set eyes upon said ninja not too long ago during the Summit of the Five Kages. Recognition she hide from emeralds, a gentle nod proffered.
"I must say that the Hokage has made an wonderful choice." One who could possibly neutralize her if she proved to be dangerous? Perhaps. But once again, such was not her concern. With no intentions on going back on her word, it seemed to Mei that the silver-haired male was no more than entertainment, a sight for sore eyes.
Pleasant enough.
"Shall we then?" Admiration and sight-seeing was done for now. There were always more pressing issues at hand rather than her frivolous mental escapades. ----- << 水 >>
