What is fukounaBot?
This is an introductory post for me and my game— fukounaBot.
fukounaBot is a survival movement game set in the authoritarian and fascist American Empire in the year 20XX. But what is a "survival movement game"? And why is it set in the "American Empire"?
A Proper Trigger Warning
Here's the list of everything this game depicts that may be triggering. This list will update periodically. Keep in mind that if something is depicted, it does NOT mean I support it.
Violence and death
Body horror and lots of fleshy things
Gender / body dysmorphia
Nazism, fascism, and authoritarianism
Suicide and the celebration of
Panic attacks
Grieving
"Survival Movement Game?"
I don't like to call this game a shooter because it has very anti-war and anti-violence sentiments. This isn't a game about killing Nazis, it's a game about fascism, gender, bigotry, and much more. It has movement shooter mechanics, similar to ULTRAKILL and Don't Stop, Girlypop!, but to have this speed, you must upkeep your robotic body.
"Why American Empire?"
Many people don't recognize how deeply rooted America's history is in bigotry, slavery, imperialism, and lawlessness. Sure, we were founded because the British taxes us, but any colony will eventually break away from the motherland. Even today, there is slavery and lawlessness. The American Empire is that to an extreme. It controls all of North and Central America, and has it's arms wrapped around South America's throat. The Middle East is starved and it is in constant war fighting them.
Okay, but who do you play as?
You play as Noelle Anthroson, an unbiologoical robot who is in constant need of repair. She lives in the slums of The New York Megacity, a city stretching miles underground and above ground, hosting billions of people. She desperately wants to become Human. All robots are given this innate desire, so that biological upgrades can be sold for exorbitant prices.
Oh! Biorobotics!
The line between man and machine is blurred. Many machines, to lessen the costs of repairs and energy, have been made out of biological material. Even your roomba is made of flesh, even if it doesn't look like a giant pile of bulging flesh. Still, "pure humans" look down upon robots, biological or not. They are violent, rapists, a statistic, here to ruin the country, and not of Lord Christ.
So Much More To Share
This is just barely scratching the surface. I have so much more to say and show. Here, I will post updates about fukounaBot.
Stay tuned,
