Summary:

Finally got around to reading this fic from a blog I found a while back (can't remember for the life of me where...). And my god, what a gem of a find.

I think there's tons of posts to go through, but this one I started on takes place during the Cataclysm, where "Ordian" (as far as I can tell, a disguised Forsaken) is fleeing with Gilneans from the worgen attacking (I haven't gone back far enough to know why he's there, other than he has some quest I guess). Here's a little excerpt:

We all gave prayers of thanks when morning came, though the ground still shook with alarming frequency. The restless earth had pushed the fence posts a full foot north during the night.

“It is as if the world is ending,” said Eleanor, hugging herself to keep warm. “There has never been an earthquake like this. The city must be in ruins—“

She forced herself to stop. Some of the refugees helped themselves to apples and I conjured some more bread. Connell sat in the mud, unable to either sleep or to stay awake. I’d seen that sort of situation before, and knew full well that it would not be long before people started to die.

Not long after sunrise, a lookout spotted a lone Gilnean on the road, headed away from the city. Seeing us, he ran to the camp and fell to his knees, sobbing. Some Gilneans covered their faces.

“The city has fallen,” whimpered Connell.

Iantha's eyes darted, scanning the street that should have been much busier, given the time of day. Even after only a few seconds, she'd already read the mood: tense, anxious, uncertain.

She nearly jumped out of her skin when the voice — smooth, familiar — had mumbled too closely to her ear.

"Ashes, Felscythe," she cursed. "Give some warning, would you?" She didn't so much as slow her pace, let alone stop. "What disaster in the Row? I've been tied up in the arse-end of Azeroth looking after other problems. You'll have to fill me in, I'm afraid."
