Well, the best part about my first mun conference was the fact that we passed an amendment to kill the north korean delegation, which then had to be approved by the human rights committee (all of them did)

in my last committee, one of our topics was latin america, i was delegate for guyana (a latin american country), i was sitting in front of the chair and ended up 15 on the speakers list, how can i avoid situations like this, especially if i have important things to day?

Alright, so last Saturday I went to my first ever Security Council conference as Germany, advocating against the invasion of Iraq. Naturally, the U.S. was in character- impossible to deal with. After a total of 10 hours of debate and several failed resolutions (vetoed by America) , we came up with an evil plan Saudi Arabia, an observer nation, asked to speak to the U.S. in the hall. Russia then motioned to enter voting procedure. It passed. The doors were locked with the U.S. outside.

my school (ISA) runs MUNSA so its a huge deal and sophonores are required to delegate but now im OBSESSED with MUN!!! its such a fun experience i did not expect and it was such a comfortable environment, especially the dance. im so proud of all my friends who made such an amazing conference happen and all the delegates who made it so fun. im so excited to staff bext year :') just wanted to get that out haha
