For the last 3 months, the entire Bay Area has been saddened over the disappearance of a 26-year-old nursing student from San Mateo CA named Michelle Le. After she went missing, her family offered a gradually increasing reward to whoever could bring her home. Posters with her image and info could be seen all over the Bay Area, and her family and friends have been extremely determined to bring her home and people from everywhere hoped she was alive. During the time Michelle Le was missing, the Hayward Police determined the case to be aΒ homicideΒ investigation and eventually arrested Giselle Esteban of Union City, California, on suspicion of murder. Unfortunately, a search party found remains on September 17th that were laterΒ confirmedΒ to be Michelle Leβs body. Michelleβs family is deeply saddened by her loss, and people from everywhere are mourning her death. Her family appreciates all of the support everyone has given their family in the recent months and thanks the Hayward Police Department as well as other foundations for everything they have done. Her family, friends, and community miss her a lot, and they continue to be in the thoughts and prayers of everyone who has been impacted by this loss. The family plans to hold a memorial for Michelle, and will later hold a public vigil.
