Fruit Adopts

Hi! this acc is run by @frogandbird, and im adopting out Fruit Ninja, an AU owned by @virameow.

all of these came to me during fruit week, and i will not be able to use them all (15 OCs is too many for someone else's AU..)

rules:

1. Cooldowns for adopts: are now every other batch/drop regardless of if you adopted a critter or character

2. Cooldowns for customs: you must wait 1 mouth for another custom, and once you receive your custom will have to wait 1 week before adopting

3. There are no more limits on adopts, nor to customs

4. Adoption drawings/writing is posted with the batch so mind the rules for your adopt

5. Customs may not open on the 1st, please do not request one until I make a post about them

Please note that these characters are made for the Fruit Ninja group, though i dont mind if they are used for other things.

all story/names/gender/lore/eta is up to you, all i need is a name for record keeping. Also feel free to change up the designs once you get em if ya want.

I’m too tired to draw right now, but I can tell a story!

Corey had just arrived at Wild Blue’s shelter to try and apply for the last Sapling from the clutch: a lavender baby girl sapling!

“She’s still here, right? I didn’t miss my chance?”

“Yup!” The cheerful goat-horse replied. “You’re just in time too! Nobody’s come for her yet! Follow me!”

Corey followed Wild Blue into the next room, containing a single Sapling, waiting patiently for someone to take her home, and, luckily for her, her new owner had just come to get her. Just as Corey entered, the little Sapling couldn’t contain her excitement and ran up to Corey and immediately climbed up to her shoulders. After seeing all of her siblings get adopted by lovely owners, she just couldn’t wait to be taken home next!

“Awww! That’s a really good sign! She already likes you! All you need to do is sign the adoption papers and give her a name and she’ll be yours to take home a XP!”

“Really? That’s all? Okie dokie then!!! Now, what shall I name you? How about… LaVerne?”

LaVerne let out a happy little chitter in response. She seemed to love her new name!!!

With all of the necessary paperwork signed, and the ranch’s newest member named, Corey began her trek back to the ranch.

“Thank you so much for LaVerne, Blue!!! I love her, and I promise I’ll take very good care of her!”

“You’re welcome! It was a pleasure doing business with you! Just be careful on your way back home! And have a nice day!”

“You too!”

Corey made her way back to the ranch and began to show her new home, including the enclosure where her other Saplings, Juniper, Medley, and Blair were kept. Considering that Juniper was also still a baby, though a few months older than LaVerne, Corey knew that the two would likely get along well.

“Here’s where you’ll be staying! I hope you like it in here!”

LaVerne left Corey’s arm for the first time since she left Wild Blue’s shelter, and slowly crawled into the enclosure, feeling comforted by the sight of the other happy and healthy Saplings that were now her roommates.

Corey had once again made a new friend!!!

(You can still show this even if I don’t get her btw!)

hi ok so ignore the fact that i forgot about this- but!

egg 3 has no submissions! heres the deal: same rules as before, but you can pick one or the other to draw.

in order to adopt:

a drawing of your oc/sona/fellow critter with Wild Blue (taking ownership)

a drawing of your sona/oc/critter with the sapling

SO: only one drawing is required.

"So, these are the remaining saplings huh?" I asked as I turned to face the caregiver, who was apparently named Wild Blue. The goat nodded and told me to take my pick, so I looked. They were all adorable, but one particular sapling caught my eye. It was a darker colour than its siblings, and was a little more shy. I stared at it for a moment before nodding to Wild Blue. He then nudged the sapling out for it to see me.

The little one squirmed a little in my grip, but it soon realised I meant no harm and relaxed. I smiled softly to myself. "I'll take this one, please."

Once I got it into my care, I showed it to my other critters. A few noteworthy reactions were:

Risa - Meeped his lungs out when it tried to sniff him

Firefall - Hissed so hard at the newcomer that they probably lost their voice

Midnight - Just stood there like this when it tried to climb on her

I chuckled at the sight. As I watched even more chaos unfold (NO NOT THE VASE BAD SAPLING-) I prayed SO hard, that I would be able to take this little goober into my permanent care

Obsidian really enjoyed his visit and meeting the sapling. He found himself being a lot friendlier than usual. If the adoption process went in his favor, he decided on the name Callisto for them.

Anilyse lifted the fluffy creature up to her face. A grin spread at the same time. She poked her head past them at the friendly face staring back.

"Is this really okay?" she asked. "Can I really keep her?!"

The brown goat waved his hoof. "Of course!"

"I wouldn't want to separate her from her siblings," She glanced at the two similar creatures play-fighting on his back.

He followed her gaze. "Their mother, father, and other brothers and sisters I've adopted out already," he turned back to her. "I'm sure that one'll be just fine."

The small, fluffy girl leapt out of Ani's hands and scrambled onto her head. Her gaze was blocked by her face a moment later. She snickered.

"El is gonna be so jealous! Thank you, Mr. Wild Blue!" she exclaimed, waving over her shoulder as she left. "I'll be sure to take good care of her!"

He waved back, then twisted his head when he felt his bandana slid off. "Oh, little saplings..."

She skipped the rest of way home, almost knocking who she now dubbed 'Featherwing' off her head. They traveled up the elevator, reached the floor, and made their way down the hall to the apartment. She unlocked and pushed the door open.

"What's up, fam, I come bearing a pet!" she called.

Her older sister came running from her room. "What the heck? Mom's gonna kill you!"

Anilyse lowered Featherwing slightly. "Wait, she's not home?"

Elara spluttered. "No! She left to get groceries! Didn't you check your messages?"

"Uh...." Anilyse shoved the hand holding Featherwing out. "Did you see the pet I brought home?!"

Elara fixed her with a deadpan stare. Then a familiar figure approaches her from behind and lays a hand on her shoulder.

"What's all the shou.... ting..." Donnie trails off. "Uh....."

Anilyse's mouth fell open, then twisted into a smirk. "I'm telling Mommmm!"

Elara growled. "Nonono, you are not. You tell Mom about this and I'm telling her about that."

"Fine," Ani huffed, crossing her arms over her chest without squishing Featherwing.
