Hey, I saw your ad. Think you can relocate? I'm kinda in desperate need of help. I'll be able to pay anything even to help you move.
(For Blair)
Blair had gotten a text from a number she didn’t recognize. After reading it she bit her lip. She had he baby sister that she was guardian over and having to move made her nervous. She had been asked before to move to the persons house but once she revealed she had a sister that had to come with her they would back out.
(Text) Hi. So yes I could relocate but I have my sister that lives with me that would need to move with me too. Is that a problem?
She smiled and nodded as she relaxed in the car. Thankfully the drive back was filled with laughter and nothing crazy. They made it back home and started to pack up everything they would need for the camping on the lake. Natalie made sure to get anything that Blair would ask for as well.
Blair was happy to make her sister laugh after the day she had. Once they got home she packed their snacks they’d need and also her clothes and toiletries. Once they were all set she smiled over at Natalie. “Alright I think I got everything we need. Are you ready?”
She nodded as she held out her bag, "Ya, I think and hope so. Think I should bring anything for your employer's kids?" She asked as she looked around their small apartment, wondering if there was anything they could even offer.
She smiled at her sister and shrugged “I mean maybe some board games? I’m sure he probably will bring their toys to keep them busy. But I think we can’t go wrong with some fun board games.”
She nodded, "Okay, then, I think that I'll just bring Chutes and Ladders." She offered before running off to grab the small, easy board game. She hoped that this would help her sister get this job.
She smiled nodding her head “we haven’t played that game in a really long time. I’m sure they’ll love it.” She said with a hum before she grabbed her car keys and started to load up the car with their stuff.
Soon the sisters had the car all packed up with everything they were planning on taking. They were finally on the road and heading to the lake. Natalie was ready for a relaxing weekend, and she hoped that her sister would be able to get this job for several reasons.

"I'm proud of you."
"Thank you." He offered a quiet smile, doing his best for Nathaniel in a difficult situation. The town wasn't particularly accepting of anyone different, so he felt very protective over the youngest of them. It had been rather difficult after Wanda said those three little words that changed the world. No More Mutants. Now he was using borrowed powers, and it was an adaptation as his fist clenched, unable to control it properly. "Sorry, just..." It was why he was wearing gloves on a hot May day as he offered a smile, before seeing a commotion outside. A woman with two babies arguing with a rather shady looking man over an obviously illegally-applied wheel clamp. He looked to Clint, a silent request for permission.
[I've got this, it's okay.] He nodded quickly, trying to calm down on focus on restoring it. While an organic diamond form was a fun party trick and made him pretty resistant to most things, it was obvious, which was very dangerous in the current climate. He nodded, making sure they weren't being observed since it was dangerous. [I've got the telepathy back, which I needed. The world isn't always safe and I missed it too much. The diamond form is like an extra power. Makes me all strong, not to mention kinda pretty. I'm hoping my own might come back, in time.] He laughed. The laughter covered his nervousness. The demonstrations were getting more violent, policies getting harsher as he signed to Clint, although he needed to think on how to say certain things. [I've also been helping the mutant underground... Evacuating families to safer countries like Canada or Mexico to avoid persecution. I can't sit by and let what few of us remain suffer.] With the population decimated, it became concerted effort, a word Saburo knew most were not comfortable with.
Clint's face grew more worried as he listened to his son. He sighed softly and nodded, "I think we should head home soon. Do you need anything else? Cause I can go grab it and pay if you want to take your brother to the car." He offered gently. He knew that right now, in public wasn't the time to discuss how to help mutants, and he knew that there was more he, as Saburo's father, needed to do to help.
However, if Saburo didn't want to go by himself, he wouldn't push. He hoped that it was understood that this conversation was just starting to get dangerous for the young mutant in a public space. He was going to need to set up something to help. Maybe that would be his next project instead of what he was planning.
"I'm proud of you."

A woman with two babies arguing with a rather shady looking man over an obviously illegally-applied wheel clamp. He looked to Clint, a silent request for permission.
Clint looked over to the arguing couple and examined the situation, before giving a nod back, allowing him to take over anyway he sees fit. Clint trusted Saburo's instincts and knew he would do the right thing.
He held out his hand for Nathaniel, ready to continue on, giving Saburo a moment to do whatever he needed to do.
Grabbing his shades from his bag, he put them on to disguise the blue light his eyes now made when using telepathy. The man trying to extort the woman just stopped, unlocked the clamp and handed over the thick wad of money in his pocket to her before just collapsing unconscious. [He's fine. Asleep for a while. Police just had a thought.] He signed quickly, watching the woman leave as he sighed, seeing the cops come. They still made him visibly uncomfortable, even if they weren't Sentinel Services as he sipped his vanilla milkshake.
Clint nodded and took his shoulder, happily leading them away from the area, making sure to give Saburo the space he would need from the cops to feel comfortable.
[What thought did the police have? Need to be careful with that.] He signed back, making it fast and discreet.
Taking Nathaniel gently and guiding him away, the little store seemed like a good place to vanish in. Plus, he needed to shop for dinner, he promised Nathaniel crab cream croquettes for getting a good grade. [Not a thought, more just a gentle focusing of attention. A subtle shift in their perception, too small to notice. I'm very good at being undetected...] He explained, being quite fast and discreet, breaking up the message as he looked at produce, making it look like fiddling or stimming.
[Okay, let me restate. Be careful of getting someone arrested for just a scam.] Clint made sure that this time he was clear with his caution before picking up Nathaniel and putting him in the cart as they shopped around.
"So, what are you going to make this time, Sab?" He asked as they moved through the produce. He suddenly had a sharp ringing through his hearing aid and turned it down in annoyance.
[Understood.] Had to be careful... Thoughts were delicate, poke the wrong one and the whole lot could come down. "Um... I was thinking crab linguine? Relatively seasonal, should be nice. Everyone likes it... Maybe a side salad, I'll see what they have." He looked at the hearing aid. "Interference?" He asked.
Clint shrugged, "Not sure. I'm going to hope that it's just interference and not anything more sinister." He commented before starting to fiddle with it as they walked around, letting Saburo lead them to what he'll need. "But the menu sounds great." He offered.
"More sinister?" He asked concernedly. Why would they be under threat out here, the point of the place was that so they were off grid. Still, that was a future concern to ponder, if it became a concern at all as he continued looking around the aisle. "Thanks. Dessert is probably going to be Tiramisu. Shouldn't take too long to make, famous last words."
He shrugged, "I don't know. I'll look into all of it later. Also, if I find out anything, I'll be sure to tell you." He promised gently. Saburo deserved safety and security.
He laughed at the joke and nodded, "Usually, ya. Have you made Tiramisu before?" He asked as they walked.
"Thank you. It's hopefully nothing, but being careful never hurt anyone." He flicked through the list on his phone, intending to get a few ingredients for some things he could batch cook for the week, it made more sense economically. "No, but I'm well versed in the theory. Espresso-soaked ladyfingers layered with marscapone whipped with cream, dusted with cocoa powder. Probably best left to chill for several hours, but ain't nobody got time for that." Saburo grinned. "Shopbought stuff often has alcohol in it and the texture isn't right and it's only one layer when it should be 2, but that's because I'm an irritating perfectionist that nobody should listen to."
Clint chuckled and shook his head, "And yet you don't want to wait for it." He joked. This was a fun time for them to spend together. They got to just be themselves, and after the shopping, Clint will make sure that Saburo will have time to himself if needed to let his masking fall. He knew that hiding oneself can be exhausting.
"Who wants to wait? It's delicious... Might make a big batch of it so we can just help ourselves when we want a snack or something to go with the coffee. Add more coffee to your coffee break and just become this caffeine demon of efficiency. Regardless, we've got a few hours, that's close enough to overnight." He snickered. This was nice... Just normal family time, no life or death, no space monsters trying to wipe out everything.
He laughed, "Honestly, that might be what I need some mornings. Coffee with my coffee." He laughed as he patted Saburo's back. He shrugged, "Close enough to overnight." He agreed.
"After one of my drawing hyperfocus sessions, it's that or just a direct injection of caffeine into my bloodstream." He smirked. "Besides, overnight means different things to different people. We get up early enough that it wouldn't make a difference." Grabbing the espresso, he put it in the cart. He stopped as he noticed his wrist transmutate into diamond as he hastily pulled his sleeve over it. [Still getting used to that. Can't always hold it back.] But the period when he hadn't had any powers at all gave him black depressive episodes. Telepathy was a hell of a drug, and without it he got paranoid about what people were really thinking about him, if he was in danger for being a mutant. It was as precious to him as any other sense and the lack of it was unbearabe. The world was getting less kind to people like him, he saw Nathaniel staring.
[I'll be okay. Part of my new powers, after the accident.] He explained. And god knows they made him pay to get them...
Clint nodded, making sure to also grab an extra bag of strong coffee beans that he was going to use to help him with a home improvement project he was planning. He wanted to surprise everyone with it.
When he saw the diamond, he nodded at Saburo's explanation. [Think there's anything I can do to help?] He asked. He was worried with how quickly the boy reacted. This was a hard thing that they were going to be going through for the rest of their lives.
Nathaniel frowned, but nodded. [What does it do?] He's learned to talk back to use older brother with his mind, but he still shouted it in his own mind, as if thinking louder is how Saburo could hear him. He was still learning.

So, I'll be honest, not really sure who all actually cares, but I think I'm done with Tumblr. It make me more depressed every time I get on here, and truthfully, it's been daily. I've been feeling super alone as of late, and Tumblr has always helped. Now it hurts. Idk if it matters to anyone out here, but if you care, I care about you. I just can't do this to myself anymore. I'm sorry.
Kidnapped Together prompts
Remember that these sentences don’t have to be said directly to the recipient’s muse – maybe your muse wants to yell “don’t touch them!” at an NPC kidnapper or paramedic, etc. Also change pronouns as necessary. It’s all up in the air!
KIDNAPPED TOGETHER
“Are you awake?”
“How long have you been down here?”
“And nobody’s ever tried to escape?”
“We need to move. Come on.”
“Don’t anger them.”
“Don’t do that. Don’t erase yourself whenever they come in.”
“Well, I say we do something about it!”
“I’m not going to sit here and let them tell me who I am and what I’m good for.”
“Do you know what they want?”
“I’ve … I don’t know, [Name], I’ve never been kidnapped before.”
SAID TO THE (NPC?) CAPTOR
“Stay away from them!”
“I’m not afraid of you.”
“It’s me you want! Let them go - let them go!”
“You’ll kill them, stop!”
“Fuck you.”
“And what happens if we refuse?”
“I don’t believe you.”
“Do it, then. Go ahead. You keep threatening to kill me, so do it already.”
“You … decided to kidnap both of us? To be clear. Us.”
SAID ONCE THEY’RE SAFE
“I’m not hurt.”
“I missed… god, I missed you.”
“Mmm… ‘mm tired… stay.”
“Get off, I’m not going anywhere without - where’s [name]? [Name]! [Name]!”
“No, they’re still - you don’t understand, they’re still in there!”
“Tell me where [name] is, why doesn’t anyone know where they are? What aren’t you telling me?”
“I don’t care. I’m going with [Name].”
