Bane's colours do seem to include red, but imo, Gortash is a terrible, fake Banite, so while outwardly it may look like he's Not Doing Anything Wrong, he's actually mostly interested in looking like a hot, badass power couple that they are. With Ophelia preferring red because of her red eyes and hair

It's a bit hard to see, he's wearing blue and she's wearing red, and you can see in the picture above that they're wearing the same style of pants; they're really good pants. The DT AU gives them what they could not have pre-tadpole, and what will take a while to achieve in the 'canon' branch. A total shake up of their lives. A community (small and snarky). A chance to take back ownership of their souls. And the answer to a very important question. They know why they got together. But if they're not bound by fate or circumstance or shared trauma, if they can have anyone else, why would they choose each other? Why would they stay together?
