"Time? Um.. I guess.. Well, allow time for travel! And we canāt be too late, or too early! And you wear a tuxedoā¦ Do you know what a tuxedo is?" She assumed sheād have to show him later, but his snapping switched her attention to his elaborate introduction.
"Well Gilgameshā¦ It is a pleasure to meet you!! Iām not sure about the āgraced with the companyā part.. But, still, none the less!" The senshi nods, time for her extravagant intro, she supposed.
"I am Usagi Tsukino!! I have travelled to lots of places in Japan! Um.. I like food! I eat a lot of it! I am a connosā¦ conn.. cosnosieurā¦ Umā¦ I fight for justice! "Hmm. Your introduction could use some refining. But you still sound like a fine young lady, Miss Usagi." Gilgamesh gives her a kind smile. He leans a bit closer to her, speaking in a lower tone. "It's good you can fight. I sense we'll have some troublemakers at the ball, knowing this place." He stands straight, and lets out a long exhale. "We're gonna need as much firepower as we can get to put them in their place!" He pounded a fist into a flexed arm muscle with a tough, albeit exaggerated, expression.Ā
"And as for the tuh-see-doe, I have no idea what that is." His head dropped to the side, a hand under his chin.Ā
Gilgamesh is stiff as a board as he listens to Jack talk. Several of his arms reveal themselves to cover his spine, even though it was already protected by his armor. He looks like he's almost going to cry in terror...

Gilgamesh trots across the snow, a grin plastered on his face. He stares upward into the shining blade of a new sword, staring back at his own white eyes in it's reflection. A beautiful weapon that tickled his fancy and made him feel eager to try it's mettle.Ā
Gilgamesh could feel his muscles and chest tighten as his anger built. His brows locked together, his teeth gritted with lips parted as if he was snarling, the skin between his brow and the bridge of his nose wrinkling. With the blank white of his eyes almost looking like they were burning brighter, and his fists clenched and ready, one would be careful about what they would sayāor doānext.Ā

First of all,y`all probably know good `ol Gil here is a re-occuring character in the Final Fantasy series, more so than anybody! But unlike the Cids, who are completely different characters (as far as Iām aware), Gilgamesh is actually the same dude, aside from a few cases. So letās start from the top! (thereās some spoilers in here, mostly just FF5 related so, beware!)
In the beginning Gilgamesh was the lackey of Exdeath, an evil treeā*cough* an evil powerful wizard who doesnāt know the meaning of a āraiseāĀ is the main antagonist of FF5! You fight Gilgamesh multiple times, and one of them he thinks he found the sword Excaliber and tries to fight you but turns out it was actually a fake called Excalipoor. Because of the resulting poor performance, Exdeath was all āWOW YOUāRE A LOSER" and banished him to the rift. You meet him again in the Rift, fighting for his life, and you come across a monster called Necrophobe. Now, if you beat Necrophobe in time, Gilgamesh doesnāt need to sacrifice himself for your safety, but even if he does sacrifice himself, heās deemed alive for some reason. Iāll probably make a headcanon out of it later.

Fast forward to the explanations in FF8 (implied) and Dissidia Duodecim (confirmed), Gilgamesh travels through portals in the rift to these different places.Ā

Then we have the weird Gilgameshes that donāt seem to be directly related, and have different personalities.
Type-0Ā is very rough-spoken (Mr. Fuck Your Shit I Can Pull This Giant Ass Sword Out of My Chest Armor) Genbu L`cie, and the king of Genbu. (Additional Iām gonna beat your ass form thatās available optionally much later)
Weāve also got this thin ass weirdoĀ in the sequel to Chocobo Tales that was never localized. He tries to marry a princess he kidnapped and is the main villain of the first chapter. As far as I know heās not much like the main Gilgameshes.Ā
FFIX's Gilgamesh seems a little strange among the rest of them, and I'm not entirely sure whether or not to count him in the 'main line' as he is a treasure hunter (albeit not a very good one), has Enkidu running around looking for Excalibur II (probably to cover more ground or let him play card games with children like a lazy bastard and spelled Enkido rather than Enkidu). Although it alludes to āEnkidoā being his brother rather than a close friend. Though I figured maybe they just called each other brother out of closeness. Also Enkidu is sometimes spelled like Enkido/Enkidoh in some places.Ā
Donāt ask me about FFXI Gilgamesh his existence confuses me.Ā
And then up to date to today, here we have the upcoming FFXIV: A Realm Reborn, the specific look Iām waltzing around with right now (Gil seems to show off his fancy lots of loose cloth in this design especially). Who the fuck knows how in the heck he got the main antagonistās Halberd Iām guessing itās probably a replica/fake. Iām assuming he can hide away his arms like in previous incarnations as a sort of headcanon thing more than anything, so assume he runs around with two to four. Weāll know more about this oneās abilities and experiences when the 2.2 patch comes around though the latter wonāt mean much since Iām technically playing him before he makes his way to that realm.Ā

Gilgamesh gathered up his bravery and embraced her gently, trying to look as charming as possible. Why not take it in stride, even if it could just be some sort of spell or dream. āI cannot guarantee we can be with each other forever, for I am a cursed man. Let us spend our time in warmth. Would you like to accompany me for some hot cocoa by the fire of our hearts?ā Very smooth, Gilgamesh. Very smooth.Ā
Gilgamesh is cautious from getting too deep in love with any woman. Perhaps he has had some crushes in the past and teased many (see: most of his Dissidia Duodecim taunts to the female cast). he knows if he does fall in love it will be difficult if she cannot follow him into the rift as Enkidu can (somehow) manage.Ā
Gilgamesh plans on making the best of his time in Hive Cityāitās better than the Rift, after all. Heās been thinking if itās possible to make a weapons shop like his old one (XIII had one under his name, so one would assume heās capable of āsmithing weapons himself).Ā
Gilgamesh laughs in a grandiose fashion and...very loudly.Ā
