Freyja made an uncharacteristic expression of annoyance. “Perhaps if you weren’t so quick to jump to conclusions about what I would and would not do, I would ave had time to apologize.”

“I mean, there’s no need for you to join me, I just figured visiting Hunter’s Moon would be better than staying around here all night.”

“Hunter’s Moon isn’t really my type of place.”

“I….try my best really.” She wondered if the woman could see right through her lies. “Are you alright?”

Freyja nodded. “That’s all any of us could do.” She nodded. “Yes, of course. Unfortunately, since I’ve become somewhat accustomed to battles and bloodshed. An unavoidable side effect of age, I suppose.”

“More or less, but as long as you weren’t hubristic you were fine.”

“Sometimes, certainly. But that generalization is both more simplistic and rosy than I would expect from you.”
