“Hello dear.” Fresh greets Beatrice as they enter the adoption center, pointing out the slight step up through the door.

“After doing some general watches on how Hattie and Barry interact, neither of them are very keen on each other. Its unfortunate, but you can still adopt Barry and, if possible, another bitty to keep him company.”

But I’m back!! I’ll get to all the rps sometime today, and here is a reminder for the new followers that the following asks are accepted fully!

A rather short skeleton monster stands from behind the counter, green eyes flashing in delight. “Hello! My name is Fresh, all the little ones call me Papa.”

He steps forward, remaining a respectful distance away as a tall bitty pops up in his place at the counter. “Listen for the bell, Jimmy.” Fresh says, before turning and waving for the girl and bitties to follow.

“I just cleaned up Playroom Dios Mio, so just settle down in here and I’ll bring some of the little guys in for the meet-and-greet!”

The light green door Fresh just opened leads to a large, open room, with bay windows letting gentle, warm air into the room. There are lots of colorful bean bags and pillows, everything looking well used and inviting. 

“She’s sorry about this, but she can’t speak right now. She’s got a social anxiety disorder that can shut off her ability to speak. Her name’s Yastaghr. I’m her service bitty, Baza'eir. You can call me Baza.”

Vergeven had arranged himself on a bunch of pillows. He smiled. “My name is Vergeven. It means “to forgive” in Dutch, which is one of the languages that Yastaghr speaks.“

Fresh listens with rapt attention, smiling softly at the girl who is looking around the room. “Well its a pleasure to meet you all. I’ll go get the three little guys that matched up nicely, and we’ll see if ya’ll mesh well!”

With that he’s out the door, leaving you to look around for a few minutes. He walks to the tiny bitty village, the three bitties he needed waiting just on the outskirts. 

“Are they here?” The Foxglove asks, bouncing in excitement. The Cornflower is tugging at his scarf, the Radish standing with a hand on his shoulder. 

Fresh grins, eyelights flashing. “Yes! She’s here and has some of her bitties with her, but remember what I said guys?”

The Radish speaks up, their voice cracked. “Be nice. Be polite. Remember that they might be anxious themselves about getting a bitty.”

Fresh beams. “That’s right. Alright bois, come on, hop up!” He holds out his hands, and the bitties climb up, the Cornflower hesitating just a moment before climbing on.

He proceeded to name everyone again, along with the reasons they had come. “Verst is an adventurous bitty, looking for someone to go exploring with. Sometimes one of two of our other bitties, Gates and Starlight, might come along, too. Right now they’re a bit wrapped up in each other. They’re mates. Gates is a Papython from @vex-bittys and Starlight is a Scooter from @wonderland-isles.”

Then he moved on to Vergeven. “Don’t be fooled by this guy’s big size. He’s a chef and a plant person. He’s feeling a little lost without someone in the house who shares his interests.”

Then here pointed to Yastaghr. “And this ball of anxiety and depression needs sounde extra help from someone who understands firsthand about her depression. I’m her service bitty for the anxiety, and there are two other bitties who help out, but none of us understand firsthand, and she’s feeling like a lot gets lost in translation. The other two bitties are Meng, an Oneiri from @polestar-bitties , and Pleiades, a Starry Emotional Support Bitty from @mythical-adoptions.”

The Radish is busy thinking about the kinds of shenanigans they could get into, with someone who also likes to go on adventures. They nod happily. “I’d be fine wit’ that.”

The Foxglove is literally vibrating in place, excited by the mere thought of sharing his interests in botany with someone who understands the basics of plants. And COOKING too?? He’s only just realizing he hasn’t answered when the head bitty Baza’eir looks at him expectantly. “Hell yes I want in! Crowds don’t bother me any!”

The Cornflower is looking from bitty to bitty, but his eyelights settle on Yastaghr, a softness in his gaze. “I know what the depression is like… feeling low and like the sadness is a blanket of fog you can’t get out from under.” He pauses, glancing at his playmates, and nods. “I’m fine with the large group. I wanna help.”

Fresh is grinning from ear to ear, happy it seems to be working out.

Then, Yastaghr turned to the bitties, pointing to each one in turn. First she pointed to the Cornflower, and her voice came out as a hoarse whisper. “How do you feel annoy the name Barley?”

Them she turned to the Radish. “And you the name Whisky?”

The Radish rubs the back of their neck, a bit shy. “Whisky sounds like a right fine name fer me.”

The Foxglove is still vibrating, but has calmed down a little, literal stars in his eyes. “I’m definitely okay with Rye! Rye makes such great bread, scrumptious and nutritious!”

And the Cornflower? He’s nearly in tears, thinking about the fact that he has a home now, with someone who understands. “I love it. Barely is perfect.”
