Hours passed. Even with his palpitations - they rarely happened but when they did it lasted forever... - he'd managed to eat and go out, to move about; a cigarette always in hand; the medicine probably the only reason he was able to move about. But then night had fallen, and he lent back where he was that morning, finishing one last cig before he went back to the stars.
He fell asleep. Of course. That's what vampires do during the day. When it was night again and he opened his windows this smell was still there. Good. Timelord blood. Nothing was better.
