I know a lot of you all are interested in the idea of color switches, but would enough of you be interested in actually getting your joycon’s painted?

I’ve got a friend who would be interested in painting Joycons, but it would involve getting joycon’s shipped to him, and paying to get them painted and shipped back. I’d probably run a poll to see what colors would be the most popular, and offer a selection of popular colors to offer.

Naturally we wouldn’t try and request your money before we put our own joycons to the test and had finished color switches to show off.

So, who would be interested in actually getting joycons painted in some of their favorite color switch colors?

Another option is that we offer the ability to include the cost of a joycon so you don’t need to ship your own joycon, but instead are just paying for another joycon to get painted. Just another option to keep in mind.

are there any formatting rules as to requesting a color? or is just putting the color you want in an ask?

There are not specific rules, other than be reasonable. You can suggest a color you really like, a theme based on a character/game, or an existing pattern or style you want to see.

can i make multiple requests in one ask?

Yes. Be reasonable though. Requesting 45 different things is a good way to get most of them ignored, but requesting a few ideas is perfectly fine.

Your colors are so much better then the real color switch. Its so bad. Whos gonna buy a half red half blue console

The answer to that is apparently me, a person running a blog about color switches. Feel like I’m kinda contractually obligated to at this point

pls on the GameCube one can we get a yellow bottom right stick

With the original version of the GameCube color switch I tried that, and the end result didn't look good. Converting black to yellow, at least with the methods I use, doesn't look good and didn't replicate the signature look of the C-stick. I made the artistic choice to instead make 2 grey joysticks.

This blog was started because I saw some other Color Switches that were of questionable quality, and I thought “I can do better”. So this blog is dedicated to making good Color Switches for everyone’s enjoyment.

And/or to make people really wish nintendo offered an unreasonable amount of colors for the Nintendo Switch
