If you’re a teenager, and there’s a thing you like, I have some unsolicited advice for you:
Buy the thing NOW.
Enjoy the thing NOW.
Love the thing NOW.
This post brought to you by me going through eBay idly looking for a Sailor Moon thermos, and discovering the lunchbox I desperately wanted as a kid—which my mom could have bought for $12.99, and which she would not buy because “I’d just lose it” and anyway she didn’t like Sailor Moon—is now $70, without the thermos. (The thermos? Another $70.) I’m just sitting here with this vague sense of loss like “therapists say to let yourself love the things you were denied as a kid, but how do I do that when it costs an arm and a leg and I’m left with this vague sense of loss that even if I bought the stickers and post its, I couldn’t use them because they’re not making any more and I’d be destroying a collector’s item?”
And parents?
Let your kid love the thing.
My mom’s reason for hating Sailor Moon was “the voices are annoying.” (And then she’d do this horrific parody-imitation of Serena yelling.) It didn’t make me not love it—it just made me sad, then and now.
Let them love the thing, let them buy the stupid merch, let them enjoy it.
Don’t leave them staring at eBay twenty years from now with a sigh and a “don’t I wish.”
things you DO NOT need to be a man
a dick
he/him pronouns
XY chromosomes
things you DO need to be a man
the swiftness of a coursing river
the force of a great typhoon
the strength of a raging fire
the mysteriousness of the dark side of the moon

You’re completely correct. Out of my way, able-bodied losers. Fuck you.
It's called an EZRide+ and you can learn where to find them here. They're about $1100 US as of June 2026, but you might need to buy additional parts to attach them to your chair, depending on the style of chair.
Remember to put links to products like this, they're usually hard to find and a lot of people need to know they exist.

Can @raccoonmilf vouch for this? Super rad if true.
Yes it’s true
It's showtime. 🪦💀 shophauntcouture.com
Dru takes doll hunting very seriously and extremely literally.
Just watched Adam Conover (of Adam Ruins Everything) make such a solid point that I think we should spread far and wide. Yes, having AI write your emails is lazy, sure, but people love being lazy. We need to really emphasize that sending AI emails (or using AI responses on social media, or publishing AI flyers, or or or) is rude.
It's rude. You're making someone take their time to read something you couldn't bother to write. You're telling them they were so unimportant you couldn't be bothered to actually take the time to say something yourself. And frankly, you're lying about it while you're at it.
It's rude.

women are like diamonds: synthetically-produced women are not meaningfully different from naturally-formed women, and anyone trying to tell you otherwise is probably trying to justify keeping their women mines open
Women are like diamonds since they are composed primarily of carbon.
I hate being asked "Tell me about yourself" and "Tell me about an accomplishment of yours" because I go completely blank every time.
I was thinking of a pride art challenge people could do with their OCs, because I thought it'd be cute! A queer/trans artist with their creations.
but then I realised that same challenge would be infinitely more funny with folks who have atypical or horror OCs
it actually is insane to me that it's a cultural norm for men to suck ass at getting their wives/gfs gifts. especially when they whine about how they have no idea what women like.
man, you're not getting a gift for Female Domestic Partner. you're getting a gift for Natalie, a person whom you have been married to for 7 years, whom has lived in the same home with you for a decade, whom speaks to you every day about her thoughts and interests, whom you presumably love, and whom you can directly or indirectly ask what she wants. it's not that you don't know what half the human population wants, that's irrelevant. you don't know what Natalie wants and that is inexcusable.
The first of the very few fights I had with my partner, he bought me an apology gift. It wasn't chocolate, or jewelery, or flowers, or any of the things you're 'supposed' to give women when they're upset. It was a pen shaped like a zombie finger. And twenty years later I still have it.
It's really not that hard of you just 'pay attention' to the other person.

speaking of volcanology i am at my LIMIT with people thinking that yellowstone is "overdue". Its not fucking pregnant. if it ever erupts again we'll have decades if not centuries of warning. whenever theres "increased activity" there it means something vibrated a bit more or something.
and while we're on it the eruptions happening rn are also not out of the ordinary. what kilauea is doing is not a cause for alarm. volcanoes erupt all the time its a part of our planet I am losing my mind
They aborted the Yellowstone super eruption because of woke
this is true
#fun fact: yellowstone has to replace their roads fucking constantly because of how much the magma shifts!#they rise and fall like frost heaves except much more extensive and it cracks any concrete or asphalt all to hell#i only lived there for like two years and the road was repaved twice#this is why so many roads in the park are gravel. they might be annoying but at least they don't have to rip it up every summer.#anyway.#my point being that we have kind of a good eye on the yellowstone situation because that kind of fuckery happens all the time#if/when it blows we're probably going to have lots of notice#science!
something delightful about a national park actively resisting being paved at all. fuck em up girl, be free
alright I've got to do some quick math to explain attitudes towards AI to my boss.
we're looking to create an AI policy, and when we were talking about this, my boss (older millennial) was genuinely shocked to hear that younger people do not (seem) to view AI positively (a la the recent commencement speakers being booed)
please rb for larger sample size!
