another form of virtue signaling I see in our culture that I'm increasingly uncomfortable with is this implication that you must find this person or that person or every person attractive and if you don't, then it's evidence of some form of bigotry or racism or body-shaming. yes those kinds of people exist and they're usually not super covert about their prejudices, but *you* have nothing to prove. you are not obligated under any circumstances to find anyone sexually attractive.

wait. have I EVER been able to taste things normally? is this why I've never been a picky eater? could it be why I'm the only member of my family that likes spicy food? is THIS why I cried into my tacos that one time (because they tasted so good = I could actually taste them)???

when you put your heart and soul into a sandwich and instead of hopes and dreams fulfilled it's still just mid on the flavor and texture scale
