My ao3 (mostly smut, a few obscure fanfics)
Been around Tumblrville since 2012, this is my third blog. My other two are @geek-royalty and @notfuckingbeige and I also co-ran @fxfargo
I'm not really in any fandoms at the moment, and tend to lurk quietly, but will sometimes blog about fandom discussion I come across, as well as chatting privately about stuff.
'Fic writing' tag - You'll see me tease and blab in tags about fic writing in general, as well as my oc fic (more info below). Please feel free to ask any questions about it :)
'Ancient egypt' tag - Reblogs of visual references and relevant info of interest to aid fic writing
I love cats and have four of my own - 'kitties' tag is their home
Food is a thing I could talk about all day 💕
Current wip
Title: Eye of Horus
Background: An oc fic I started way back in 2009, and dusted off last year to properly rework as part of helping me manage some issues with writers' block in a training course I was doing. I like writing smut and am quite interested in Egyptology, so wanted to try writing smut based in ancient Egypt to help bring that history I'd seen in museums and books to life--it's been really fun building up the world and these characters. Currently the fic is at about 50000 words, and I've completed a prelude along with a few chapters so far 😅
Genre/rating/warnings: It's what I'd call histerotica (think Spartacus, The Tudors, Rome, etc.), so rated E for graphic sex and violence. *Note to make up a list of trigger warnings*
Summary: Waset, Kemet, 1490 B.C.: Found innocent of treasonous adultery and reinstated back to her crown, a dishonoured queen returns home to find her loyalties torn, between her husband, the pharaoh who'd wrongly banished her, and her ex-lover vizier, rebranded from traitor to national hero, having liberated them both from execution. She must navigate the labyrinth of dark history between these two men kept secret from her, where the political becomes cruelly, intimately personal, if they are to have any hope of uniting against the insurgent Hittites threatening to destroy their kingdom from within.
