LGBTQ Manga Featuring Non-binary Protagonist âLove Me for Who I Amâ Releases Tomorrow
The first volume of Konayama Kataâs Love Me For Who I Am (Fukakai na Boku no Subete o) will be released digitally tomorrow, with a physical paperback release scheduled for June 30. The manga features LGBTQ+ characters exploring friendship and their identities while working at a maid cafĂŠ.
The series follows Mogumo, a young non-binary person who just wants to find some friends. After being mistaken for a cross-dressing boy by a classmate, Mogumo is brought to Question!, a maid cafĂŠ run by a transgender woman. The staff of Question! are cross dressing boys. The revelation that Mogumo is neither a boy nor a girl prompts their new friends to start questioning and exploring their own sexual and gender identities.
Love Me for Who I Am, better known as Fukaboku, is published in Japanese y GOT. The series is serialized in Comic MeDu, and has been compiled into three volumes at the time of writing. The manga is published in English by Seven Seas Entertainment.
