Leah: An ambivert.

Leah: Yeah, the gig went great, thanks!

Katherine: Oh wow...I hadn't even thought of it like that before. But that makes perfect sense for her.

Kelsey: Hey you, I wanted to tell you thank you so much for the basket that you and Cyrus dropped off the other day.

Katherine: Kelsey! It is so wonderful to hear from you! How are you and the baby?

I’m out for drinks tonight with Puck. Blaine mentioned drinks and a movie night. But nothing major, you know? And yes! I get the big office off the locker rooms now! I assume you’ll help me get it ready for the year?

That sounds like some great ways to celebrate though. Having fun with good company. Sounds like some celebratory baked goods are in order then! You certainly deserve it! The big office? There are so many possibilities now! Of course, I’d love to help you. I swear with my classroom, Cyrus with the library and your office my creative side will be going crazy in the best way. I already have all the supplies to decorate my classroom.

I hope I did. Students, you’re a teacher?

That sounds like a cute little gang you have there. I guess you can set roots anywhere with the right people. The beach is a real selling point of this town, for sure.

Yes I am! I’m a teacher at the elementary school, fifth grade to be specific. 

It really is. I will tell you, it’s been insane how busy I’ve been so any sleep that I can get is welcomed. I don’t always remember to do that. I know that feeling though. When does school start back for you anyways? Are you super excited about that? Good! I’m so glad. We have to hang out soon. It’s been a while and I miss you! Plus, we need a beach day.

I’m sending all the good sleep energy your way! Being well rested seriously can make or break a work day. About mid August! So I still have a little less than a month to relax. Of course! I miss my job and I’m so excited to meet my new students. The start of the year is always so fun. I would really like that! It would be just great to catch up. I miss you too!  We could even combine it with out beach day! 

Me too. I don’t want to feel like I uprooted her for my own selfish gain or anything like that, you know? I think she’ll be happier when she realizes her grandparents, aunties, uncles and cousins are all here.

Family and boyfriend? Sounds like this is the best place for you to settle.

I am sure you did it for good reason! I’m sure she’ll warm up I’m sure! Not only will she be surrounded by love but she could make so many friends too. I’ve had new students come in from other states and all of that just makes all the difference. 

Thanks, Katherine!! It sounds like everything should be official by the end of the week. They want to announce it at practice Friday.

That makes it even more exciting! I bet the team will be so excited to have you as their coach. Are you planning on celebrating it in any way? And does this mean you’ll have a new desk that you get to decorate? 

Leah: It's fine!

Leah: It was, Jovi loves being around other dogs!

Leah: Yeah, it did, thanks. I feel a lot better about fronting tomorrow.

Katherine: So does Belle, she loves to stay in most of the time but making friends is her second favorite.

Laura: Did you just write waffle cookies!?

Laura: What about Thursday?

Katherine: YES! Oh my gosh have you ever had them before? I tried them once when another teacher made them. It was amazing.

It’s so good! That’s one I’d love to see on Broadway. Beauty and the Beast is cool too, not one of my favorites though. The story is just too disturbing. So many are really timeless and I can watch them constantly until the day I die. 

Wouldn’t be amazing? A lot of the Disney shows that were turned into Broadway musicals tug at my heat strings too. Oh of course, I can understand that!  They really are. I can’t wait until I can share the magic with my own kids someday. 

After being here a few days, I honestly think she’s just not happy with the new house. I don’t know why, it’s much nicer than the one we had in Boston. She has her own playroom here, what else could a toddler want? But yeah, I have tons of stories. She’s a really witty kid.

Sometimes change is just enough to have them be not to happy, but I sure hope she warms up soon! There are so many fun parts of Sander’s Bay, the beach especially. Oh goodness I bet they are all just priceless! I got to do a lot of baby sitting when I was younger and that age just comes with so many stories. 

Leah: Don't make me feel like I'm missing out on anything, please. Let me live in my anti-cat bubble for my own sanity.

Leah: Afternoon would be best. I'm at band practice rn. I'll have to keep Jovi on a lead if we go to the beach, cba with him running in the sea.

Katherine: Okay, okay I'll tone down the cat talk! Sorry I just find all animals adorable, I can't help it.
