chairman rose will always be the ultimate "meet potential pokemon villain" character to me im sorry. they struck gold at every single aspect of his character and then fucked it up where it mattered the most, which is the damn motive. hes so compelling it makes me sick and violent
he was born poor. his father died in an accident while working in an unsafe environment and this affected him greatly. he created a company to strengthen worker rights and safety. he somehow fucked it up and made it a megacorp somewhere along the way and now every single thing in galar is owned by macro cosmos. he keeps making others dependent on him and while he values them and treats them kindly, theres always going to be a part of him that will consider them as tools he has to discard once they become an obstacle. he has a saviour complex. he has ruined the lives of countless people, sometimes on purpose. hes black, same as leon, adding an extra layer to their positions of power and their relationship to eachother. the person he respects most is a woman and his secretary, whom he previously offered the chairman position to but she refused it out of respect for him. he's extremely paranoid. he refers to himself as a princess who will be saved by the big handsome knight (leon). hes lame as fuck and his disguise looks downright atrocious. he always has a charming smile, even after losing. hes fat and balding and everybody loves him due to how charismatic and magnetic he is. he has a terrible no good at all strained mutual inferiority complex relationship with his brother where they both disappointed eachother to no end and peony never wants to see him again and they surely never will now that rose is in jail. leon inherits his position as the chairman and locks himself up in that same tower. hes predatory as fuck. the whole bede thing. he has no family left. he technically has two sons and he discarded and disappointed both of them. he's probably never been able to see anyone as an equal his entire life due to his massive titanic need to save everyone around him from their sorry fates. hes not even a twink
