It’s been a few days since this happened. It happened on Thursday night when I was coming back from a closing shift at work. I got #robbed at #gunpoint just outside my house. I was rooted to the spot unable to do anything. I heard hurried footsteps behind me on my right side and I knew I was fucked before anything happened. A man rounded on me and pointed what the police told me later was probably a .22 #handgun and demanded that I give him my money. I didn’t react fast enough so he grabbed my bag and sprinted down the street. It was only then I screamed bloody murder for help. My #Fiancee @suddenlysatyr came out of the house (thank god she was staying with me) and said, “GET AWAY FROM HER!!!” But he was down the street by then. She got me inside (I was shaking violently) and she sat me down. It was then that I started sobbing. The bastard had taken everything from me (including my KEYS) except my phone, which was in my back pocket. We called the police and they came right away and I actually remembered quite a bit about the suspect despite him having a mask over his face and a hoodie covering his head. So I hope they manage to catch him one day...but who knows? Right now I’m just trying to recover. I go between the feeling of “HOW DARE YOU!” And the feeling of helplessness and sobbing. I’m due to see my therapist tomorrow. (at Van Nuys, California)
