“I swear I’m okay, noo…” You back away just a bit to get his hand away from your face. Not wanting to give out anymore clues that he's already making you nervous.
Sunoo leans forward and gives a soft peck to your lips, ultimately listening to you and saying “Well—alright then, just tell me if we need to go, okay?”

The date goes smoothly. Well… as smooth as it could be because your boyfriend was just way too engrossed with looking at you today.
On the walk back to your apartment, he offers to hold your hand, and as much as you would love that… your palms are sweating way too much just because of the proximity.
You mutter out a soft ‘Sorry, sun… not today…’ and all he can do is smile sadly and look down, a little disappointed with that answer. And that sends a sharp sting to your heart, feeling bad for even rejecting him in the first place.
Soon enough, you’re right outside your door, both of you saying goodbyes and see you laters. You click on his contact, pressing the call button and waiting for him to pick up, which he does almost immediately.
“Yes baby? What do you need?” You hear him say over the phone, responding with a quiet ‘uhm..’, he urges you to speak up. “Do you think you could come over hoonie?” You say, “I kinda need some–“
“I’ll be there in a few, sweetheart.”
And just as soon as he speaks, he ends the call immediately.
Knowing how fast Sunghoon would probably get to your house, you jolt up and run to your bathroom immediately. Splashing cold water on your face to get rid of the puffiness caused by your crying. Looking in the mirror to see if he could maybe even tell you were crying just by glancing at you for a little too long.
Well you definitely weren’t thorough enough about hiding your whole meltdown, because as soon as you let him in the front door—the first question that comes out of his mouth is, ‘Were you just crying?’.
“Just come in,” you say, already annoyed that he could already tell. “I’ve been studying for hours hoonie, hours! And I still can’t seem to get the hang of—“ He stops you in your tracks, grabbing you by your cheeks and saying, “I’ll help you baby, but first things first I’ve got to get my kiss.” With a quite adorable roll of your eyes (if you were to ask Sunghoon) you grab his wrists, stand up on your tip-toes, and give him a quick peck on his lips.

Both of you have now spent around 45 minutes trying to help you figure out what any of this work means. Your breathing is becoming harsher and faster, not too focused on calming down right now.
“B–but… it just doesn’t make any sense” you choke on a sob during that last word. “Which is why you need to calm down, sweetheart,” He says. “Breathe with me, okay?” You slightly nod and his chest rises and falls with slow breathes, trying your best to match them considering the terrible case of hiccups you’re having, it works.

Sunghoon shuts it down almost instantly, unplugging your laptop, closing your notebook, and turning off the lamp on your desk. “Baby. I’m not going to sit here and watch you stress out over this, you need rest and this is the only time I’m going to tell you.”
You look down at the floor as he continues, “Have you even eaten at all today? Let alone at least take a break?” You shake your head softly and look up, the disappointment on his face hurts to see for yourself, and you finally understand that it’s time for a break.
“I-I’m sorry hoonie… I’m just stressed, okay?” Is all you can say as he stands up.
“No need for apologies, yeah? I just don’t want my sweet girl to stress out over this again.” You nod silently as he continues, “I’m going to go make dinner, and what you’re gonna do is go get ready for bed, shower, change, whatever you need to do, alright?”, A silent ‘alright’ falls from your lips and as he goes into the kitchen, you wipe your face and get ready for bed.

“Of course, Princess.” He responds by peppering kisses all over your face until you’ve fallen asleep.
And in the next few minutes, you’ve long forgotten about your upcoming test, about how you’ve barely studied, and really, even though you hated the idea of him coming over at first, all you really needed was for sunghoon to come over and calm you down.
“I love you, crybaby” He says right as you drift off.
