While at a local market in Puerto Escondido, Mexico, I met a lovely woman named Rosie who had a food and herbs stand. I felt an instant connection with her so I asked her if she knew of anyone above 70 years old that would be open to being photographed for a series I’m working on.⁣ ⁣ She immediately jumped onto her phone and called someone who lives in her neighbourhood. ⁣ ⁣ Rosie’s husband José offered to drive me and Mark to meet her.
