Closing Down
We’ve decided to stop uploading video captures (vidcaps) of recent films we review at FrameRated.co.uk o Tumblr, as part of our ‘Frame Curated’ blog.
Tumblr isn’t the thriving community and platform it once was, sadly, so the effort involved in sourcing these vidcaps wasn't worth it considering the reduced engagement and diminishing page views.
When a viable alternative to Tumblr presents itself, we’ll probably move these vidcaps there, but Instagram unfortunately crops widescreen images. So that’s not a good backup option for us.
In the meantime, once our reviews are imported to Medium.com the next day, we hope to add more vidcaps there as a ‘bonus extra’. That way the vidcaps can still be utilised, but people will actually see them more often.
If you’ve visited Frame Curated over the past five years, many thanks for your support. It’s a shame there weren’t more like you.
