ok so this summer my siblings and i have been doing a weekly movie night, and i think more people should do this in large groups. here are the rules:
each week one person is randomly selected to pick a movie for the group to watch.
there are no vetoes, you must watch whatever that person picks.
cell phones must be in another room, but you can work on a craft if you want to keep your hands busy.
once everyone has had a turn, that is now the turn order in perpetuity.
talking is fine, but only if it’s about the movie. side conversations are rude.
this has lead to several delightful evenings of viewing movies we’ve never seen or haven’t seen in years, and learning new things about my family’s taste compared to my own. watch movies with your people. peace and love.
