The wisdom that comes from God is like this: First, it is pure. It is also peaceful, gentle, and easy to please. This wisdom is always ready to help people who have trouble and to do good for others. This wisdom is always fair and honest.

You and I have a job description that remains unchanged: a love for our maker and a love for our neighbor. Do not be distracted by the yelling and the fear. Listen to the still, small voice. Care for the sick, the elderly, the hopeless, the broken. Love the outcast, the marginalized, the disenchanted. Fight for them. Arm in arm beside them.

Who knows why God allows heartbreak, but the answer must be important enough because God allows His heart to break too.

If it does not glorify God, let it not console or please you.

There is a profound courage shown when we can love again, even in the face of pain and sorrow; like a flower that reaches for the sun, even after it endured the harshness of winter. Healing calls for patience, but it also calls for a brave heart because when you have healed fully, you will learn to love each day that you are alive.
