I dunno, if you’re going to criticise Forsaken lore-wise, at least take jabs at the characterisation pitfalls (I’m looking at you, c00lkidd’s info for Chrisaken day 5), the characters that seem to turn a blind eye to the game’s vague overall themes (as in, Nosferatu), or the fact that the vast majority of the cast are concepts that lack proper executions (although I’m personally alright with this, it is a fair criticism)!

Yet all we really get is ‘the lore for this character isn’t edgy/cool enough’, or ‘007n7 has too many connections’ (hasn’t he been directly stated to lack immediate connections among the survivors?), or ‘it’s too depressing’ (that’s practically the point, I’d wager) — Come on guys! :’)

What’s slightly worse is that the writers seem to be taking these non-issues to heart, and it, well, causes things like c00lkidd’s lore expansion to happen. Sacrificing the characterisation and depth of your story’s cast to make things edgier and such is evidently not very good for you writing.. Whatever the case, this bugs me severely 😔

And Shedletsky...? You hit sword or not. So yeah I believe that the strongest aspect of Shedletsky is that he's most consistent one.

because uhm. like the survivors are the ones in purgatory. watching their friends get killed and getting killed over and over. so they are getting the worse end of the stick

Chance is someone who has lacked genuine company for quite some time, and he considers iTrapped the world providing them that for once (to paraphrase the official statement). Chance is someone who has always been invested in adrenaline-seeking, and sure, things grew less dangerous overtime, but that aspect of him is still present. Yes, they would say yes to someone in iTrapped’s position proposing a game of Russian Roulette, no, that does not make them stupid, and no, that does not lack sense when you consider who they are and the very foundation for these twos’ relationship.

Hence, it just.. makes me really sad when I see the fanbase consider them a fool for all this? I dunno, leaves a bad taste in my mouth every time I hear about Chance lacking survival instincts, or being too stupid to get how terrible their company is (they’ve had awful company by them for practically their entire life, what do you expect?), or being ‘blind’ (sometimes ‘blinded by [most often romantic love]’), or being too into thrill to get anything, or whatever else along those lines :(

I am not the biggest fan of the common fandom interpretation of Forsaken’s iTrapped. Don’t get me wrong, it is a fun one! The idea of Chance hanging around someone the polar opposite to them who’s generally real sick and tired of their antics is definitely a dynamic I enjoy when executed well! However, I really wish more people took what the text states about this fellow into account.

iTrapped can be reckless. iTrapped can be excitable. iTrapped can be unserious. iTrapped can be everything we think Chance to be, and we know this, because he is introduced into Chance’s life as someone with a lot in common with him by the Snake Eyes lore document (or, if we consider the doc itself too inaccessible, the descriptions of Chance’s outdated lore on both of their pages on the unofficial wiki, which are directly excerpted from Guyy’s document). They bonded through how much they had in common, and whether or not this Chance-esque persona was a facade is up to how you read it, but the point still stands! I want more iTrapped interpretations that factor this in for his personality.. Makes for a dynamic with Chance that is just as fun, not to mention.

I think iTrapped's more cold (heh) demeanor was probably a "post-may madness/his friends getting banned thing". Kinda like him having to put on a serious front to get a means to an end. That's just my interpretation though, and i do agree that a more silly side of him would be fun to explore

ik many people dont really have an actual reason to ship something, they just do it because they think its cute or hot or whatever. but dusetaph is literally dusekkars most popular ship by a big margin and i just wonder what so many people are seeing in it. i guess i just dont get it.

to me it feels like people already shipped all the other characters in the roster together, and just paired whoever was left over. can i be ⌛ anon?

I like Nosferatu, a lot. AND I don’t care for Azure, or even feel hyped for their release when it comes. Lemme explain my side real quick.

Nos, in no means, is a perfect character. However, I adore his lore and character design greatly. I feel like his lore is much more grounded in way compared to Two Time and Azure. Another thing, akin to the lore, is that his isn’t centered around another character entirely. Azure’s lore feels so overdone already. Another sob story about broken bonds and such.

There are other reasons, but they would fall into the drama aspect, so I’m not going to explain that. ^^’

If anyone wants post about some sort of discourse or drama in the fandom, for fuck's sake, PUT IN A FUCKING TW OR A TAG THAT SPECIFIES THE POST IS ABOUT DRAMA. I do not care if you add the main tag in, just have some decency and acknowledge the fact some people have the "forsaken drama" tag and any other instances of that tag blocked so that they don't want to see anything about it because they only want to see the FANWORKS and some of us WILL feel guilty for having no control over anything and everything we get obsessed with or like.

No, you can't just say "move on" or "the world kept spinning". It is stuck in my head 24/7 and I am doing this for my own enjoyment and if I lose it while I have nothing else to obsess over, my mental health will plummet.

And if you're one of those people who post art related content about the game but then add a paragraph below your art about the current drama, PLEASE add a TW and the read more section BEFORE adding said paragraph. This has happened to me MULTIPLE TIMES when I thought someone's art was cool before I get to the part where they make 2 paragraphs about their opinion on the drama and I. Do. Not. Like it. I liked their art, but all I got was a new account to block.

It seems insensitive of me to say, but some people really don't want to know about what's going on with strangers on the internet and only want to fuel our dopamine without some rat whispering in our ears about how we're horrible people for loving a game. It bums us out when all we want is to enjoy making works inspired by or about the characters and story in the game. The least you can do is be sensitive about how some people don't like seeing drama-related stuff and add some sort of a warning that you WILL talk about it or what not.

TL;DR, if you wanna post about drama-related stuff, add a tw tag or any instances of the "forsaken drama" tag. If you post art/content for the game but you wanna add your own opinion about the current drama, add a TW and the read more section below the art you want others to see and before your paragraph about it.
