Fi is the Deity of Wind, with her secondary domains being lyric song, dance, and intelligence. By many in the pantheon, she is considered a lesser deity, practically a nymph. Because she was made ‘incomplete’ so they say, by another Goddess who wanted to create life like the Golden Goddesses are able to do. Fi, having all the attributes of her dominion but very little emotion or feeling, is considered to be broken by most in the pantheon, and given her physical frailty, most other gods are correct in their assessments that Fi is not a perfect, godly being like the rest of them. Her creator has sheltered her, keeping her in the mortal realm as much as possible, to keep her away from the judgment and mockery of the high pantheon.

Ghirahim is the God of Death, considered a child of the Underworld. His secondary domains are fear, fury, and lust-- commonly called the 3 biggest reasons mortals kill each other. He is well known for being charismatic and deceptive, so he is regarded with much skepticism by the greater pantheon. But he’s one of the most powerful Gods in the Underworld, and cannot be taken lightly, so he is given lots of respect.

It is not often that the Gods all must gather in Olympus, but one such occasion occurs when one of Athena’s chosen heroes falls before his time. Bickering ensues, but all deities are permitted to attend, even nymphs. This is when Ghirahim gets his first glimpse at the strange, broken goddess who has never left the mortal plane. She certainly looks divine, but he can sense something is off about her. Maybe the rumors are right. He goes to talk with her, to see.

Their first conversation is odd. Ghirahim, being who and what he is, lays on the seductive charm. He expects to toy with her, she looks so small and niave compared to other Gods. But Fi is cold and calculating, and she doesn’t respond to anything the way he thought she would. It is fascinating, to say the least.

      As a child he had not the words to describe the sensation that filled him the moment his fingers wrapped around the hilt of the master sword. He doubts he has the words now even though he is grown. It feels right in his hand – as if it were made for him and him alone from the beginning, even when he was a child and the blade was too long, too awkward for him to wield. He can feel the magic coursing through it, a powerful thrum that has withstood the tests of time as it rested at the gate between worlds, waiting.

      And now it need not wait any longer.

      “Fi.” Link calls to the spirit of the blade, guiding Epona by her reigns while Navi rests within the saddlebags. Kokiri Forest is still at least a day’s journey away, but they’ve ridden hard to make up for the time lost travelling to Lon Lon Ranch and he doesn’t want to push his mount more than she can handle. “What do you think of Sheik? I want to trust him, but I’d like your opinion.”

The Surface had changed so much. It even had a different name now. They called it Hyrule, yet they had all forgotten Hylia. How strange...

Fi stared up at the sky, her spectral form sitting, in the strange way that it did, on Epona’s back, behind her new Master. She could remember the sensation of flight. Not just hovering, but true flight, with her first Master. He had a steed too, his large bird. A large horse was quite different.

Her gaze jostled back and forth with Epona’s gait, but until her Master spoke, Fi simply stared at the sky. The clouds. And she wondered whatever had happened to her first Master. 

He was dead, that much she knew. But something in her felt like a blacksmith’s hammer striking an ore when she wondered HOW, exactly, he had died.

At Link’s question, she turned her attention to him, turning from her perch to hover at his side instead. She followed smoothly, able to converse with him easily.

For each “⭐️” I get, I’ll write a headcanon about our muses.

Fi cannot express much, but she feels very close to Light. He makes her feel comforted and warm. 

“My physical appearance has no bearing on my efficiency, Your Holiness.”

The attempted expression fell from her face immediately. Back to the usual neutral near-frown that she wore. Fi did not expect herself to be particularly good at smiling, because such a thing was inefficient to her usual functions.

She’d wanted to try, though, for the sake of her Master. He smiled, she should be able to smile back.

Valentine's Day Starters:

“Yes,” Fi said, bowing her head in thanks and respect to the great golden spirit. She did not think she was particularly suited for a holiday like this. Love had never been her strong suit... it was something that felt mysterious and unreachable to her.

But he had given her a crown of flowers nonetheless. A generous blessing.
