But truthfully it's not even about Trump anymore. Now mind you, I am NOT endorsing the guy. Rather the opposite. We need to understand that the system that propagates the most wealthy people to be our political leaders is the problem. This isn't about "Republicans bad, Democrats good". The reason Donald Trump is getting a bridge in my state is because Tennessee is complacent in extremely capitalistic ideologies that it's ruling class benefits from (and most of that ruling class are the wealthy business owner, musicians, or politicians). I mean, our minimum wage is a whopping $7.25 still because we default to the federal minimum wage rate. Very convenient for the state to not have to worry about paying us pennies for our labour even though we are LITERALLY SLAVING AWAY to make ends meet here. Poverty is the norm. We're just taught to mask it. Make sure they see you working all the time and they'll never know. Surely they will never know.
