You may have noticed I posted a little something other than the usual shitpost just now. It's not much, but I'm trying to push myself to get back into the habit of writing for fun. For now it'll probably just be assorted bits and blorbos from TTRPG campaigns and the occasional old story of mine, but if I decide to actually use one of the story ideas buried in my notes app it'll go up here too.

Something about Bait & Click (Mutation) is so appealing to me. It reminds me a lot of tracks like the Season 5 version of Warriors for She-Ra, in the way that it’s a very vibrant and upbeat song that’s been altered to emanate a sense of doom or dread, but with a spark of hope still lying within. It’s probably one of my favorite Splatoon 3 tracks without lyrics. Maybe it’s because I’m a huge fan of the Salmonids.

#no you're so right op #it didn't stick out to me at first but it became one of my favorite tracks in the whole game #the way the distortion totally takes over about halfwaythrough and then the cello SLAMS back in with the chorus #its so fucking good #and the use of like static crackling as percussion like the radio signals between crews across the city #it's so good at capturing the anticipation and dread of a big run
