Part 11:

Daryl Dixon x O/C

The wind whistled through the trees. The group bustled around the camp with and rested in the shade. Merle had taken Glenn out fishing. Daryl and Lisa were laying under a shady tree a few steps away from camp Daryl was leaning against the wood of the tree Lisa leaned back against his chest Daryl wrapped his arms around her holding her tightly against himself. Lisa sighed and smiled softly as she placed her hands on his forearms. Daryl smiled as he looked out into the distance watching the birds flying overhead, Lisa closed her eyes smiling and embraced his warmth. Daryl kissed the top of her head sweetly even despite being nervous.

“Lisa?” Daryl mumbled softly.

“Yeah?” Lisa hummed lovingly.

“Do you think we can stay here forever? I just…I want to stay here with you in this peaceful place” Daryl confessed full of nerves his voice nearly gave out.

“You don’t have a choice your stuck with me now, where ever you go I go that’s the deal” Lisa chuckles and Daryl smiles knowingly.

That made him happy to hear but it wasn’t as much of a threat as she jokingly intended it. He was more than happy to have her always.

“It ain’t true what people say” Daryl mumbles graciously. Lisa raised a brow and opened her eyes with a smirk.

“Oh?” She chuckled

“Yeah ya ain’t bad Lisa, a little strange maybe but never bad” Daryl admitted honestly. Lisa giggled at his comment, she sensed a quiet humour in his words.

“I’m no angel stick around long enough you’ll see” Lisa sighed sadly.

“Ya my angel” Daryl whispered sweetly kissing her forehead. Lisa just smiled, there was no use arguing with him not when he was right.

“You’re too good for me” Lisa hums.

“Nah” Daryl snorts holding her closer causing her to giggle as he started peppering her with kisses. Lisa laughs as she fought to wriggle out of his grasp but he wouldn’t budge and kept going.

As Merle and Glenn entered camp again Merle heard Lisa laughing and looked over to see her in his brothers arms. Merle smiled softly and as he continued walking into the camp.

As more people joined the camp, Daryl, Merle and Glenn had gone out hunting a lot more seen as there was more mouths to feed. Lisa spent her days doing laundry and taking care of the children. Lisa always loved watching the children play outside the asylum in the park across the street. They’d laugh and play together all day, Lisa couldn’t help but smile at them every time. They were so beautiful in their innocence and their grace and so unaware of world’s vices.

Carl and Sophia are no different, the cool afternoon air was a pleasant surprise and break from the Georgia summer heat. Lisa was sitting by the fire pit Carl and Sophia were excitedly telling her about their failed attempt to catch frogs in the river. Shane must have taught them a thing or two. Shane’s been gone a month now, Rick’s been taking it pretty hard but he’s putting on a brave face for the group. The group however seem confused but more at ease now that Shane was no longer causing chaos. Daryl, Merle, and Glenn returned to camp Daryl saw Lisa talking and playing with the children he couldn’t help but smile at how much the kids seemed to love her. Children have an excellent perception of human characteristics. Lisa has been through a lot, and people have very cruel opinions of her but he could see the truth she was kind, and genuine. She may have a few demons but she certainly wasn’t crazy.

Part 4

Hannibal Lecter x OC (his daughter)

“Hello Clarice” doctor Lecter muses as he steps out into the light of his cell, by the look of him he hadn’t changed at all from the last time she saw him. When he murdered Paul at the dinner table. Thought his face had slightly more wear and his hair was now was slowly going grey.

Clarice starling however had not changed one bit she was still so youthful and very beautiful. Recently she had started working on another high profile case one that involves a crazed sexual killer and his teenage son. Both were wanted for a number of vicious and violent murders across the country. They were know as jack ripper and jack rippers knife, regular pees in a pod. It was almost impossible to catch and far more impossible to find evidence of their crimes, they were far too practiced and precise. They were also known for sleeping with their victims after death which puzzled Clarice entirely. Begrudgingly she returned the doctor Lecter’s new home for help.

“And might I say you look good” doctor Lecter teased charmingly. Clarice ignored him and pulled up a chair and sat down in front of the glass, closer than she usually did.

“It’s been a while doctor Lecter, I’m afraid I need your help again…please” Clarice stated hating having to say please to a cannibal. Doctor Lecter just smiled and stood closer to the glass.

“Just like old times then aye Clarice? Tell did you miss me?” Doctor Lecter smirks and sends her a quick subtle wink.

“Hardly” Clarice admitted before sending through the case file for her new case. Lecter chuckled at her sarcasm and retrieved the case file. He looked through it carefully and hummed in approval.

“Ah the ripper boys, I had hoped to know more about them I discovered an amusing interest in them when I read the papers earlier” Lecter says informatively.

“Clever boys but sloppy always leaving things behind and their much to messy” Lecter critiques as he examines photographs of the crime scenes.

“I didn’t ask you what your thought of their scenes I asked you for a psychological profile” Clarice reprimanded sternly.

“Do you use that tone with everyone who try’s to help you or just your children?” The doctor cunningly asked. Clarice looked down uncomfortably and tucked her hair behind her ears.

“Oh that’s right I heard hubby won the custody case I’m sorry Clarice” doctor Lecter stated sweetly and for a moment her heart sank thinking he ment it, and maybe he did but she hated they way it made her feel.

“Alright let’s begin this one’s juicy have you got a pen and paper we may be here for a while” doctor Lecter mused as they began.

After her meeting with doctor Lecter Clarice returned to her empty home, the walls still echoed with her children’s happy laughter. As the night grew later and later Clarice studied the evidence collected from the rippers boys case hoping to find were they slipped up as doctor Lecter had previously mentioned. She of course poured herself a drink while she worked on into the night. Eventually she found herself falling asleep on the couch with her empty glass in her hand. Slowly as she slipped in the tethered line of sleep and awake she began to dream. Sometimes her dreams would take her to sadness but tonight they took her to a place far more dangerous.

Meanwhile back at ward B doctor Chilton was working on a new testing in regards to Claudia she had to sit at a table across strapped to a lie detector test as well as another test that had straps on either side of her temple. The test was to determine when she was lying and when she was telling the truth but also to determine how well her condition allowed her to hide the real truth. The results weren’t the least surprising for someone of her age.

“Truth again! Goodness my dear you’re either a saint or just really good” the doctor huffed tiredly they had been trying to catch her slip for four hours at this point.

“What’s the matter too tired? You wanna nap?” She mocked wickedly and he sighed.

She was impossible to break, her guard never wavered she was a brick wall. Unlike most patients who break down immediately when Chilton began working with them Claudia was strong it was puzzling where this strength came from it certainly wasn’t her mother. Perhaps her father?

Part 3:

Hannibal Lecter x Claudia OC (his daughter)

Warnings: None

Claudia was sent to ward B, it was a mixed ward at the far end of the hospital. Most of the people in there were accused of petty crimes and dealings but not Claudia. She spent most of her time laying on her bad staring at ceiling but when that didn’t interest her she tried with little effort to sleep, though the harsh sounds of screams and bellows from patients down the hall disturbed her peaceful rest. The good doctor visited her often and always wore his signature cocky smile as if today was the day he’d break this teenage girl Brocken mind. But she wouldn’t even give him the time of day. She just snicker at him and roll her eyes, till eventually he gave up for the day. Barney came by often too but mostly late at night or early in the morning after the screaming finally stops. He seemed to be the good thing about this horrible place. He had a kind heart she could see that. And he could see he wasn’t in any danger with her. After the screaming died down and sun had long past set Barney came to visit again, with his same happy smile and warm presence Claudia emerged from the dark corner of her cell and stood in the light to greet him.

“Barney I was beginning to worry you weren’t coming?” Claudia mused skilfully and Barney chuckled breathlessly as he sat in his usual chair in front of her cell.

“Sorry for my lateness but I got you something” Barney chirps and slides a perfectly wrapped present through the bars. It was small and wrapped in pretty pink paper with a pink ribbon. Claudia smiled brightly and ripped open the paper;

“You didn’t have to get me anything!” Claudia giggled secretly applauding that he did. It was after all a special occasion.

“Course I did it’s your birthday! Go on now open it” Barney chuckled as she wrapped the present. Inside the paper was a box case, she opened it with excitement inside was a gold plated necklace with an interesting charm it almost looked like a cross but not. Barney was aware of her distaste for god yet he somehow knew she’d find it beautiful.

“Oh I love it thank you Barney!” Claudia exclaimed happily and Barney laughed.

“Well I couldn’t have you spending your sixteenth birthday alone in here” Barney noted and she simply squeaked.

“Thank you Barney” Claudia sighed as she put on the necklace.

“I hope you’re not in the habit of spoiling other patients Barney cause that would make me feel less special” Claudia joked skilfully.

“Only the ones I like” Barney noted again.

That night Barney sat with Claudia and talked to her about many things, and she insisted that it was the best birthday she’s had in a very long time. Before Barney left that night he tried to talk to her about what happened at the party on Halloween but she went cold and closed off. He decided it was best to leave her be after that.

The good doctor spent the next couple days performing all kinds of tests and brain scans to track the progression of her “disease” what he found was not surprising. It was getting more and more serious and more aggressive, her moods would change rapidly and at times she could even turn violent. She once scratched a nurse cursing her to bleed rapidly, guards including Barney had to hold her still while a doctor sedated her. And she only went down hill from there.

Today was visitors day usually Claudia never received any visitors her mum being to scared to face her daughter stayed away. But today her friend Lauren came to visit she had left classes early and scheduled to see Claudia. When Claudia entered the visitors hall Lauren was waiting patiently with a smile. Claudia was escorted in by Barney, she looked like a mess her hair was wild from sleep, there were lines on her face from the way she was sleeping, though by the dark circles under her eyes she didn’t get much sleep at all. Barney pulled out the chair for Claudia to sit down in front of her friend.

“Thank you Barney” Claudia stated graciously Barney just nodded and took a couple of steps back.

“How are you? I’ve missed you at school” Lauren whispers and Claudia chuckles running her fingers through her hair.

“What the hell going on with you?” Lauren begged desperately

“I’m a fucking nut didn’t you hear?!” Claudia burst annoyed before lighting a cigarette.

“Since when do you smoke?” Lauren asked again

“God don’t be such a prude Lauren” Claudia stated as she rolled her eyes.

“Who are you?” Lauren cried shocked by the person who sat in front of her.

“I’m exactly who you want me to be baby” Claudia remarks coldly and winks at her. Lauren begins to cry and Claudia rolls her eyes before getting up.

“Sorry baby I ain’t got time for waterworks” Claudia coldly replied as she flicked her cigarette at Lauren who jumped when the heat met her skin. Barney looked sympathetically at her friend before walking Claudia back to her cell.

Lauren left shortly after and has come back twice a week begging to see her friend but Claudia never entertained her once after that. It wasn’t Claudia fault she wanted nothing more than to see her friend but this thing inside of her was growing and affecting her mind she didn’t want her friend to see her in such a state. At least that’s what she told Barney. At night Claudia lay awake on her cold bed shivering in the darkness listening to sounds of the hospital and the quiet teetering of staff in the halls. The night brought a strong quiet and even stronger loneliness in the air Claudia longed to be free but her condition only cemented her stay more and more. At the very least she wish for a view where she could look out at the trees or even water, a view that captured the essence of the world outside, a view that was beautiful.

Part 2:

Hannibal Lecter x OC (his daughter)

After Steve’s party on the weekend school was way more intense kids avoided Claudia in the halls, they pointed and laughed and whispered about her embarrassing win. Claudia walked around with a heavier step than usual and they more they snickered and pointed the more numb she felt. As she walked up to her locker to grab her books for her next class other kids gathered around snickering and hold in laughter as they waited for her to see her locker. When she saw it she stop dead in her tracks the word “psychopath” was painted across her locker in bold red paint that was still wet and dripping down her locker. The others around burst out laughing Claudia rolled her eyes and open her locker, although suddenly a bucket of pigs blood tipped out of the locker and splashed all over her and the floor, the bucket landed on the floor with a clank. The kids laughed and laughed as Steve emerged from the crowd looking very impressed with himself.

“I told you you’d regret it didn’t I?” Steve smirked widely.

“That’s it!” Claudia yelled as she leapt forward throwing a strong punch to Steve’s face. The two of them broke out into a violent fight and the kids gathered around them started chanting “fight,fight,fight” one of the male teachers ripped Claudia off of Steve and dragged her away to the office while the school nurse tended to Steve who was passed out on the floor, his nose was broken for sure and bleeding severely.

The principal sat down with and asked her what had happened she tried to explain Steve had been bulling her but since Steve the pencil dick was knocked out on the floor they didn’t believe her story.

“Seriously your gonna believe pencil dick Steve he just fucked up my locker?” Claudia banged on the man’s desk.

“Considering he’s the one in the nurses office yes I am” the principal simply replied sternly. Claudia swipes his thighs off his desk cursing him to stand up quickly from his chair.

“Young lady you are expelled”the principal yelled and pointed towards the door. Claudia storms out of his office slamming the door behind her. As she threw her bag onto her left shoulder Lauren ran after her, she was waiting outside the office after she heard about the fight.

“Claud wait!! What the hell happened?!” Lauren gasped as she ran to catch up with her friend.

“I just got expelled I have to go” Claudia responded absently.

“Wait what expelled?!! Wait!! I’ll come with you” Lauren called as she grabbed her bag and rushed out the front door following Claudia.

“Wait!! What the hell is going on with you?!” Lauren finally snapped as she grabbed her friends arm and forced her to stop and look at her.

“Talk to me? What’s going on with you lately your acting out it’s beginning to scare me”

“NOTHING! There’s NOTHING wrong with me!” Claudia snapped back.

“This is who I am!!!” Claudia yelled again before pulling away from Lauren and quickly rushing down the stairs. Lauren tried to call out to her but she ran quickly across the foot field and into the forest that surrounded the school. Lauren couldn’t help but feel worried for her friend and started to cry as she stared at the spot her friend had disappeared into.

“Doctor Chilton over here!! What’s the latest update on Hannibal Lecter’s treatment?!!” The press yelled out. The notorious killer madman doctor Hannibal the cannibal was recently rearrested and escorted to the good doctor’s asylum for the mentally disturbed or insane. The judge had hoped the good doctor Chilton could find some way to ‘fix’ the madman. What a load of shit.

“Yes I have been doing extensive research and providing treatment to doctor Lecter, while the treatments have so far been unsuccessful I assure you I will get through to him” The smug man commented to which the press seemed to eat up. Barney stood behind the doctor silently doctor Chilton thought having Lecter’s guard with him would make himself look better for the press.

“Have you personal spoken to doctor Lecter?” One man of the press yelled out.

“What do you speak about with him?” A woman holding a microphone yelled as well.

“I have indeed spoken to the patient many times we have discussed the nature of his crimes quite extensively it is important for his treatment” the good simply replied before waving off anymore questions and returning inside Barney and a couple other guards showed the press to the car port and bid them goodbye before then also returning to work. Barney had gone into have his break and have something to eat. After a while when the screaming finally stopped Barney took a plate of delicious food to Lecter’s cell as he did every night around this time.

“Ah good evening Barney!” Doctor Lecter smiled warmly at the man Barney smiled placing the plate into Lecter’s slot and sending it through to him he then sat in a chair in front of the glass so he could talk to Lecter a while. It had become a nightly routine for the two of them.

“I hope you’re hungry I gave you a bit more than usual tonight, I understand the good doctor has been starving you all day” Barney informed kindly and doctor Lecter sat his desk which was up against the glass with his dinner plate.

“Thank you Barney it’s most generous of you” doctor Lecter praised as he began digging into his food.

“Your hot news this week again every wants to know more about you and the inner workings of your mind” Barney chuckles politely, doctor Lecter simply winked as a smirk appeared on his head.

“Tell me dear Barney what do the masses think of me?” Lecter hummed charmingly his accent thick and polite.

“Well they want to know why you killed those folks and why you…eat them, some wanted to know if you were responding to doctor Chilton’s treatments” Barney explains and Lecter just hums in thought as an dark pride swells in his chest.

“Isn’t it funny how people have such a strong curiosity about things so…disturbing?” Doctor Lecter qualms and Barney simply nods smiling in agreement.

“I’m glade your here Barney, i always enjoy your company” Lecter compliments and Barney’s swells with pride. He really enjoyed his job.

“Thank you sir” Barney says warmly.

“How’s the study going? Need any assistance?” Lecter encouraged, Barney had been excepted into a college just down the road he was learning about neuroscience and studies of the human brain. He wanted to learn more so he could better connect with the patients at the asylum and hopefully help to get them into a better state of mind. 

“Actually yes I’ve got this assignment but I have no idea where to start do you mind?” Barney asked politely clearly he had been struggling.

“No no not at all, do you have your books?” Lecter replied curtly and Barney quickly took his books out of his bag and read the assignment to the doctor as he ate his food. The two of them worked most of the night making a start on Barney’s assignment together.

The next morning Barney arrived at work and waiting at the front desk was a young determined looking woman with ginger hair. She approached him with a smile and extended her hand for him to shake. Which he did warmly.

“You must be Barney? I’m sorry I’m early I’m supposed to be meeting doctor Chilton he’s supposed to lead me to Hannibal Lecter I’ve been instructed to analyse him” the detective informs nervous.

“The good doctor isn’t in today I’m afraid but I’m headed down there now I’m happy to escort you down agent?” Barney replied happily.

“Agent starling sir” Clarice informed him curtly and Barney nods smiling.

“Come with me” Barney states as he lead her down the stairs. As the continued down into the sub basement where Lecter was held Barney informed starling of the rules she must follow or else. She seemed to catch on pretty quickly.

“Stick to the wall now theses guys haven’t seen a woman in years and you don’t wanna find out what that’s like trust me” Barney warns as they hug the wall heading to Lecter’s cell.

“Doctor Lecter sir there’s someone to see you” Barney announced. The doctor was laying on his bed reading when he caught the scent of Clarice’s perfume he sat up to look at her. A smirk appeared on his face.

“Good morning” doctor Lecter began very politely. Agent starling was a student at the academy one of Jack Crawford’s turns out old jacky boy needed his help to solve a puzzling case. Which meant he saw this agent starling often and boy was she interesting, sometimes she even amused the doctor. After the capture of Jack and Clarice’s suspect Hannibal was moved to Memphis where he was placed in a much bigger cell, this time there was no glass just bars but at least he had his view, his books and Barney.

Meanwhile young Claudia was growing more and more troubled. She had been getting into regular street fights with Steve and his pussy friends, going to parties, drinking, ignoring her worried mother and friend, she even dyed her hair with pink highlights and got a piercing on her nose. Which her mother hated. This morning as she got dressed her mother snapped at her demanding answers.

What the hells going on with you go out every night drinking god knows where, you come back at 2 in the morning smelling like the club bathrooms you’ve been kicked out of school for fighting and you’ve dyed your hair!!” Her mother recounted as she followed her daughter through the house.

“Oh please get over it” Claudia mumbled as she rolled her eyes.

“Listen there’s this doctor I saw him on tv he’s worked with difficult people like you before I’ve already called ahead for you to see him, his names doctor Chilton” her mother informed sternly before grabbing forcing her daughter into the car. Claudia just rolled her eyes and face towards the window.

“Wonderful yet another fucking doctor” Claudia cussed and put to headphones over her ears. Metallica burst through the headphones loudly, her mother just sighed as she began the long drive to see doctor Chilton. They didn’t speak the entire drive, when they arrived the good doctor was standing outside waiting for them.

“Hello I am doctor Chilton you must Claudia Eve wonderful to finally met you” the doctor said charismatically like he was trying to impress her or something.

“Let me guess you live alone?” Claudia mocked and her mother scolded her but the doctor just chuckled and lead them inside. Claudia and her mother ended staying all day and well into the late hours of the night as the doctor performed many different tests on her. It was discovered through her childhood of harmful tendencies towards animals, untreated aggression, and her little to no regard for everyday life that she showed severe symptoms of psychotics which was often unusual in woman and one of her age. Claudia was a somewhat difficult case however it took the doctor months of regular visits to actually see the real problem, she held some aggression and contempt for authority figures and ex a strong hatred for people. He determined Claudia was dangerous to herself and others and she would benefit greatly from extensive treatment. Afterward the last session the doctor stepped out of the room with her mother so Claudia couldn’t hear them discussing.

“It’s quite clear to me that your daughter has a rather cynical case of psychotics I can give you some more information about it but I don’t think there is medication strong enough for her particular case. I’ve included my book on young psychotics and the strategies to ‘love them into shape’ so to speak. Although I don’t see her getting much better her harmful tendencies tell me she’ll only head the other way” the good doctor explained as tears welled in her mother’s eyes. 

“What the hell do I do?” Her mother cried pathetically.

“Leave her here with me I’m moving to a facility in Memphis where I’ll be able to look after my other patients, she’ll better cared for there and I’ll be able to work with her more extensively” the doctor stated and her mother seemed horrified as she thought about it for a moment.

“Promise me you’ll help my baby?” Her mother scolded

Dear dairy,

They say time is the enemy of memory and so it had been. As I sit here looking back at how everything unfolded and how specific horrors were woven into my life like the final most important thread in an ancient tapestry, i see why history chose to repeat itself. I used to believe that all life had meaning though now those horrors have shown me the truth, life for most people has meaning and for others nature selects them for a far more grander game. A game of survival.

October 31st Halloween night:

“Claudia come on we’ll be late for Steve’s party” Lauren groans outside the bathroom door. Claudia groans opening the door, Lauren smiled at her friend’s costume, she had chosen to dress as a vampire. Claudia wore fishnets with spiders on them and short black dress that ended just above her knees, wild dark jewellery, smoky makeup with blood stains peppered around her hands and face. Her hair was long, straight dark brown with her pink highlights all throughout.Her hair almost looked black in some lighting She looked ‘killer’.

“Gorgeous!” Lauren exclaimed stunned and Claudia just giggled. Lauren dressed up as a corpse bride, she had a short white dress covered in blood, a vail and smoky makeup with some added body glitter.

“We will be the best dressed ghouls at this party” Lauren jokes linking arms with Claudia as the walked toward the front door.

“Wait we gotta take some pictures!” Claudia’s mum announces running down the hallway with her old camera, the girls turned and Claudia groans.

“Mum really you take photos every year do we really need more?” Claudia whines.

“Oh come on it’s your senior year you’re gonna want lots of memories” her mother reminded her as she waved for the girls to get together and pose. Claudia rolls her eyes and stands with Lauren, both girls posing cutely for a few minutes.

“Okay we’re going now!” Claudia announces dragging Lauren out the door, Claudia’s mum waves them goodbye from the front porch as they stepped out onto the streets. The streets were covered in dead autumn leaves and Halloween decorations, and kids in costumes running around chasing each-other and begging for candy. Lauren and Claudia giggle wildly together as they link arms again rushing down the streets to Steve’s house. When they arrived at the front door Steve’s friend announced their arrival. Steve’s house was full of teenagers partying and drinking since Steve’s parents went away for the weekend he thought it would be the perfect time for a party. Lauren and Claudia join the group of kids on the dance floor for a while and dancing till their feet hurt. Claudia offered to get them both a drink of punch while Lauren found somewhere to sit outside. Lauren and Claudia had been friends since they were born in-fact Claudia doesn’t actually remember ever meeting Lauren she was just always there and they had always been friends, growing up together only solidified that friendship. As Claudia took a sip of her drink Steve approached her by the punch bowl smiling with a drink in his hand.

“Hey! Having fun?!” Steve yelled over the music. And Claudia nods happily as she made up Lauren’s drink.

“Yeah! This is fantastic!” She yelled back smiling.

“Thank you!” Steve says as a slight blush spread across his cheeks.

“I thought about what you said! I’m sorry I can’t!” Claudia confessed over the music.

“What why?!” Steve gasped

“I’m not in the right place right now, I just don’t want a relationship I’m sorry!” Claudia explains loudly over the music, looking over his shoulder Lauren was waving her over. Claudia steps aside,

“I’m sorry” she apologises once more before attempting to leave the conversation and join her friend. Steve quickly grabs her arm tightly nearly coursing her to spill their drinks.

“You will regret this” Steve threatened darkly and let her go. Claudia hurried over to Lauren Claudia hands Lauren her drink as they both sit at an empty table.

“What the hell was that? Did he hurt you?” Lauren gasped at the growing bruise on Claudia’s arm.

“No I’m fine he was just drunk” Claudia brushes off. The party continued as normal kids were making out, having sex, playing drinking games, swimming in the pool and dancing. Lauren and Claudia were just sitting and drinking and talking about the new horror movie that have hit the cinema’s and discussing which ones they like to see next.

“Oh I say we see that new movie Friday the 13th!” Lauren giggles and Claudia nods smiles.

“Yes!!! I’ve been waiting for that one” Claudia says cheerfully.

“God you’re so strange maybe you are psychotic!” Lauren laughs.

“Oh stop just because I like slasher movies doesn’t mean I’m physio” Claudia laughs.

“Well not yet you still haven’t been diagnosed” Lauren jokes and Claudia rolls her eyes smiling.

“Don’t get me started on that my mom dragged me to doctors all over the country none of them can tell us what’s wrong. I swear she thinks I’m insane or something” Claudia explains slightly annoyed.

“She just worried about you and to tell you the truth so am I” Lauren admits and Claudia shuffles closer to her wrapping one arm around her shoulders pulling her closer.

“I know, you’re the best” Claudia admits and Lauren giggles.

“You bet I am” Lauren jokes and both giggle. Suddenly everyone heads outside for the costume contest where Steve picks who wore the best costume to his party. He even rigged up and block for the winner to stand on. Lauren and Claudia join the group while Steve picks out a winner from a soggy hat covered in beer.

“Ah ha the tonight’s winner is…Claudia Eve!” Steve announced over the microphone everyone starts clapping and cheering, Lauren was by far the loudest of all. Claudia couldn’t stop smiling as she made her way up to the block. She stood on the block and Steve hand her some flowers, but the look he gave made the cool air feel sharper and a chill ran up her spine something told her that something here wasn’t right.

Steve stood back as everyone continued to cheer for her, suddenly two of Steve’s friends pushed through the front of the crowd with a bucket each looking pissed.

“Hey! Dracula here’s your blood” one of the boys yelled before they both poured their buckets of pigs blood all over her. The crowd went silent and Lauren rushed through the crowd to help her. Steve and his friends were laughing at her wildly. Claudia dropped the now bloody flowers and attempted to whip her face but she only made things worse. She was covered head to toe in pigs blood and everyone burst into laughter. Steve leaned over and whispered in her ear cruelly.

“I told you you’d regret it” Steve growls as Claudia looks up at him in pure shock. Lauren appears with one of the towels from the side of the pool handing it to her friend Claudia whips her face and wraps the towel around herself quickly.

“Burn in hell Steve” Lauren cusses as she then rushes her friend from the party. Claudia’s mum was horrified when they returned home, Claudia ignored her and went straight for a shower while Lauren stayed long enough to explain. Afterwards she and Claudia stayed upstairs in Claudia’s room. Lauren brushed Claudia’s hair and comforted her accordingly. Claudia was so embarrassed. How could someone be so cruel. Her embarrassment seemed to fuel the anger she always felt but with a couple deep breaths she was able to subside her anger.

“Everything okay?” Lauren asked and Claudia nods.

“Yeah I’m okay just needed a second” Claudia explains softly and Lauren sighs worriedly.

As I said before diary, some life is meaningful and some require a wood chipper. And not to be negative or anything but I could definitely write you a list.

Part 10:

Daryl Dixon x O/C

The world is fucked up, and the people in it are the biggest contributors. People kill, rape, torture and slaughter the last pieces of innocence we hold in us. Lisa as you could say was always ‘different’ as a a child she did not show or feel normal emotions as others kids did. She was just numb to that sort of thing. But it always fascinated her, the emotional span of people around her. Her mother would probably describe her as cruel and unusual but speaking her mind and finding enjoyment in strange hobbies was what came with her diagnosis.

When she was young Lisa would stare at the birds that would fly against the window of the kitchen outside her house and watch as it flapped around trying to fly with a broken wing. She sometimes thought about stomping on it and putting it out of its misery and others she didn’t. Her mother noticed behaviours like this and kept an eye on them until she actually stomped on the birds that would break their wings saying things like “stupid bird” and “it’s better now” or something all the while her voice held certainties and confidence. It worried her mother how little emotion and empathy she had so one day her mother took her to the psychiatrist who later determined Lisa to be a psychotic schizophrenic with insane behaviour traits. Ever since that her dad nearly never looked her in the eyes and her mother struggled to find things to talk about with her daughter. I mean what kinds of things do you talk about with a psychopath? But not all her tendencies were bad she liked to paint, sew, and create things with determination. Even though she had all the “diagnosed behaviours” of a serial killer she was still a sweet kid who would never let another child sit alone in the cafeteria, who’d make something beautiful for the girls in her class that never got any birthday presents from her parents. Once Lisa even threw that girl her very own birthday under the bleachers, Lisa made them both a chocolate cupcake each and stole money from her mother to buy this girl a beautiful doll. Just like she always wanted. Lisa was also the type of kid to get in the middle of fights and win because some older kids were picking on a boy in the hallway. She got in trouble for fighting a lot but she was just defending the poor kid. She even once walked into the bathroom a found a young girl sitting on the floor in one of the cubicles, she was sitting in blood. The girl had a miscarriage, Lisa didn’t ask any questions but she had noticed something off about the girls father at pick up. She gave the girl a clean pair of pants from her bag and help put the dirty ones an empty plastic bag. The girl was very grateful and helped Lisa clean up the bloody mess.

While Lisa was a girl of strange tendencies she was still a good person and she knew right and wrong. Although when her mother and father shipped her off to the institute that sliver of goodness that prevailed in her started to blur.

The past:

The night was dark in the ward tonight and the storm raged on through the hospital. It made some of the patients unstable and some even collapsed into one of their episodes. The nurses where doing their rounds of checks when one young nurse peeked into the small narrow window to see Lisa facing the wall tapping her wrist against the ripped padded wall rocking side to side singing quietly to herself. This was a regular occurrence.

“Somewhere over the rainbow~” Lisa’s whispered voice sang on and the nurse simply continued on her way. Little did she know that Lisa had a plan to escape. She was able to convince the nurses she had a stomach ache and she had to use the bathroom so they dragged her down the hallway to the bathroom and shut the door behind her. As soon as the door closed she climbed up and out of the bathroom window. She fell and hit the snowy ground below. Lisa jumped to her feet pulling her jacket tighter around herself and took off running, she was headed home she wanted to see her parents and ask them why they sent her away. Lisa approached the and ran around the side peeking into the window. They in the parlour sitting on the sofa by the fire place eating delicious desserts and drinking wine with some friends of theirs a couple from down the street. They seemed happier, and they shipped for off to be tortured while their here living lush without any problems or pain. Her blood boiled as she stormed inside the house the dog alerted them of her presence. She looked positively horrific, her long white pants were covered in dirt as well as her ripped white thin strap shirt. Even her brown jacket with fur was dirty too most likely from when she threw herself out the window. Her face was dirty and her hair was a crazy mess and appeared very dead at first glance due to the shock therapy. She was like their worst nightmare had come true.

“Oh my who is this?!” Her mother friend cried clutching her purse. Her husband held her close to him as Lisa approached. Her parents were horrified at the sight of her.

“Oh don’t worry Doris I don’t want your tampons,I’m here to see them” Lisa says with a smirk as she played the role of her parents nightmare.

“Hey how’s it going?” Lisa chuckled and her father made a disgusted face when she took a strawberry from the top of one of the desserts and ate it.

“Mmm this is good, we don’t get dessert in the ward they think giving ice cream to crazy people will just worsen their condition”Lisa went on mocking her parents wickedly.

Their friends were appalled and very frightened, Lisa just rolled her eyes and slumped down in one of the arm chairs making sure to spread herself out so she was covering the whole thing.

“What the hell are you doing here Lisa?!” Her father finally yelled and Lisa just chuckled.

“Woah Daddio finally found his nuts! No sweetie you know nothing of hell” Lisa mocked taking another strawberry and eating it.

“These really are delicious” Lisa hum smirking.

“That’s it we’re leaving! Don’t invite us over again Seamus” the other man’s husband announced to her father and mother began quickly grabbing their things and heading out the front door.

“Thanks for the tampon Doris” Lisa mocked as she scampered out the door. She laughed when the front door slammed shut.

“What is the matter with you?! How dare come here this late and ruin your father’s business proposal.

“Oops” Lisa snickers

“Oops this deal could have changed all our lives, we could have gotten a home near the hospital so we could be closer to you so we could continue to get you help you clearly need!!!” Her father boomed and something in his words coursed her to snap. ‘The help she needed’ as in more torture?

“And by help you mean more lobotomies, shock therapy, drugs that do fuck all but put me to sleep when no one wants to deal with?! Maybe there’s nothing wrong with me maybe you’re the one that’s fucking crazy huh!!!” Lisa stood and yelled at her father. Her mother began to cry when she spoke of what they were doing to her. Lisa looked at her and rolled her eyes.

“DON’T YOU FUCKING CRY!! You don’t deserve to cry, you gave me away!!” Lisa boomed yelling at her mother who only cried harder.

“Oh now your sad huh? You know what mommy dearest FUCK YOU I HATE YOU!!! YOU DESTROYED ME!!” Lisa yelled. Her mother fell to knees and cried while her father knelt down held her against him.

“Lisa that’s enough look what you’ve done to your mother!” Her father yelled angrily, Lisa looked down at her coldly. She leaned down closer to her mother’s face with a feral look on her face.

“You have never been…and you never will be my mother” Lisa drawled before spitting on the ground in front of them. She headed towards the front door and walked out her parents followed after her mainly her mother begging Lisa to come back and her father trying to hold her back. When they reached the door they saw the police parked outside their house grabbing Lisa and hauling her into their car.

“Did she harm you folks” one officer asked.

“No where are you taking her?” Her mother asked concerned.

“She escaped from the woman’s mental ward earlier this afternoon we’ll be taking her back there now, it’s a good thing you folks weren’t hurt she a lunatic this one” he informed before the other officers drove Lisa away back to the ward.

When the she arrived at the ward the sun was just starting to peek over the mountains. Valerie was waiting outside for Lisa. Lisa stepped out of the car and smiled widely,

“Hey Val!” Lisa chirped. Valerie ignored her and thanked the officers she then took hold of Lisa arm and marched her up the stairs.

“Did you have fun while you out Lisa” Valerie snarled and Lisa chuckled remembering.

“Yeah I did Val thanks” Lisa chirped

“Good because from here on out you are never leaving this ward again” Valerie threatened and throw Lisa inside as the cops drove down the driveway. Lisa was taken to treatment room and had to undergo shocks again. Valerie ordered a higher voltage this time. This was to be her punishment.

Valerie sat at her desk reading over the girls files and looking at the pictures of the happy girls they were before the world turned on them. As Lisa’s screams echoed through the ward Valerie tried to shut it out as she read through the files and focus on her work. As she added a file to the pile of files beside her she sighed as and the cover on Lisa’s file. Her heart thumped as she glanced at the picture of a young happy Lisa smiling covered in paint and laughing at the camera. Valerie couldn’t hold in her sadness and began to cry. Valerie truthfully was a good woman, she hated her job sometimes and she even felt massive guilt towards the girls. She didn’t feel that the “treatments” or this “hospital” actually helped anyone. Especially Lisa.

Two men dragged Lisa back to her room, as they walked past Valerie’s office Valerie looked out the window and saw Lisa being dragged back to bed, her body was bruised and limp. Valerie covered her mouth as she cried, it was all her fault.

“I’m sorry Lisa” Valerie cried outside her door Lisa just laid there limply not saying a word.

“It was worth it” Lisa groaned voice clearly failing.

“What was?” Valerie whispered

“My parents…I wanted them to know and now they do” Lisa informed her voice cracking. Valerie sighed and let Lisa sleep, the next morning she called Lisa parents to question them about Lisa’s visit and they told her that they are moving to Europe and that they weren’t interested in their daughters care. Valerie asked them what exactly they expected the staff to do with their daughter and her parents replied that they simply “didn’t care”. Valerie couldn’t believe that they would just abandon her.

“Lisa can I talk to you?” Valerie whispered but Lisa didn’t answer.

“Your parents are moving away” Valerie continued.

“So where are they shipping me off to now?” Lisa groaned from her place on the ground, Valerie sighed placing her head against the door.

“They’re not taking you…you’re staying here” Valerie whispered back to her through the door. Lisa stood and tumbled over to the door and peered at Valerie through the small window.

“They’re leaving me?” Lisa whispered and Valerie looked up at her with tears in her eyes, nodding sadly.

Lisa as you can imagine went “crazy” she tore up the room and screamed at the top of her lungs, when the security guys bust into her room to try clam her down she kicked and scratched them drawing blood. It was just like kit had left all over again. This outburst lasted all night long. Many of the nurses collapsed in a dramatic display as she continued to scream. The other girls in the ward cried and panicked they were so worried about Lisa and begged to see her to comfort her. But they were denied because the nurses were sure Lisa would hurt them accidentally.

Part 9:

Daryl Dixon x O/C Lisa

Warning: Shane is a asswhole! Mentions of SA, violence, language, lots of angst. Fluff (at the end).

Daryl still felt a little after his conversation with Lisa this morning and decided it was best to go out hunting considering the need food for the day. Rick agreed he should go, meanwhile the others set up camp in the woods keeping their eyes and ears peeled for any walker activity. Dale and Glenn even set up traps around the camp, Merle showed them how first of course. Lisa and Carol had taken some buckets to find some berries and things that they could eat. While looking Lisa ventured mindlessly out a little further than Carol and found and entire bush full of blueberries and strawberries. Shane hadn’t been much help to the group he just set up his tent and sat down on a log and started drinking. Lori hadn’t nagged him quietly about his drinking, something about “you know how you get when you drink Shane” but he simply ignored her. Meanwhile Lisa continued picking berries and filling her bucket good. She couldn’t wait to show the others how many she found.

When she was finished picking berries Lisa scampered back to camp with a smile everyone was so impressed, even Merle. Lisa laughed at his puzzled surprise and Glenn tapped him on the shoulder laughing.

Lisa head was washing stained her dirty hands in a bucket Merle had filled just for hand washing when a noise came from behind her she turned quickly shaking her hands dry. Nothing, but the hairs on the back of her neck stood something was watching her. She was only a few steps away from the campsite but this threat felt as if it would surely take her before she could get there. She quickly pulled out her knife prepared for anything when suddenly Shane tumbles out of the bushes with an under half drunken bottle of whiskey. His belt was unclipped so he probably just went for a piss. Lisa relaxed putting the knife away, Shane looked up at her and groaned.

“Oh you again when are you gonna give up already?” Shane growled

“I was minding my own business here you’re the one acting like a fool” Lisa scoffed rolling her eyes.

“Yeah? Let me tell you something-“ Shane tumbled forward pointing his finger in her face which she smacked away.

“No let me give you some advice Shane, don’t point your fucking finger at crazy people!” Lisa informed sternly.

Shane snarled before he slapped her across the face hard, Lisa gasped as she fell to the ground. Shane unbuttoned his pants and slid them down before climbing on top of her Lisa’s heart swelled with pure, raw fear as she kicked slapped and fought to push him away. But he was much stronger. With two hands and not much effort he ripped the front of her shirt. He then began pulling her pants down. Lisa pushed on his chest as she cried violently.

“Shane STOP IT” Lisa cried. He did NOT he just kept mumbling to himself as he ripped her panties and threw them away.

Lisa screamed Shane covered her mouth with his hand stopping her from alerting anyone. Dead or alive.

Meanwhile back at camp things had gotten dark and everyone had already eaten the meal Daryl had managed to catch out on his hunt. Afterwards Daryl sat by his own fire back at his tent and work on making up some more bolts for his crossbow. As the night grew later and later Daryl retired into the tent to sleep for the night as well as everyone else. Except Lisa and Shane.

Shane chuckled and smiled at her as he stood up and fixed his pants up making sure to do up his belt this time. Lisa laid flat on the ground un-able to move, when he managed to pull himself together he didn’t say a word to Lisa not a sigh nor throat clearing nothing. He just walked away like nothing happened. Meanwhile back at camp Daryl woke from his good slumber and tumbled out of his tent to take a piss in the bushes quickly. Daryl looked around slowly scanning the area, even though he was half asleep he wasn’t gonna get eaten or jumped while taking a piss Merle would never let him live it down. When he was finished he took a long stretch and looked around once more before going back inside his tent. He laid down and all but closed his eyes when he heard a small voice from outside.

“D-Daryl” the voice whispered. Lisa. Daryl heart raced as he sat up and opened the tent door. His heart shattered and his stomach dropped to his toes when he saw the state she was in.

Her hair was a mess (more than usual), her bottom lip was busted and looked like it had been bleeding by the look of the blood under her lip. Her jaw was bruised and there was a dirty hand print over her mouth. Not to mention her clothes were completely ripped and she wasn’t wearing pants. It was a cold night tonight too she must have been freezing.

“Lisa?! What the fuck happened?!” Daryl half yelled half whispered. Lisa didn’t say anything she just cried as her body started to shake like a leaf about to fall.

“Get in here before you freeze” Daryl gasped as he he help into the tent, zipping it back up quickly. Daryl takes the blanket from off his bed and wraps it around her tightly. It was then he noticed the severity of her injuries.

“Who did this to you? Did you see their face” Daryl investigated his voice soft and very concerned. Lisa just nodded slowly while she cried.

“Who Lisa?” He growled.

“S-Shane…” Lisa voice broken and unable, much like a whisper. It was as if the flood gates had open by the sound of his name, lisa wept into the blanket. Daryl however was fuming, suddenly the tent opens again and Glenn appears looking shocked to see Lisa.

“What are you doing?” Daryl snapped unintentionally.

“Sorry I saw Lisa coming up the hill and I was worried she looked hurt, I see I was right” Glenn explained as Daryl reached over for his cross bow.

“Glenn get the first aid box from dales RV” Daryl order and the young man quickly did as told and ran to fetch the box before tumbling back to the tent.

“Ok got it” Glenn huffed getting inside the tent with Lisa.

“Good stay with her, do what you can till I get back” Daryl ordered zipping the tent and walking off with his cross bow on his back. Glenn was confused but he got to work on a few of Lisa more difficult injuries. Giving her a few stitches here and there. He really wanted to give her a hug and tell everything would be alright be he figured he better not.

Meanwhile Daryl stormed over to Shane’s tent and cut a whole in the side of it with his knife. Shane was awake drinking as usual, before he could yell at Daryl for cutting up his tent, Daryl grabbed him by the collar of his shirt and pulled him out the tent and threw to the dirt outside. He started laying into him one after the other, each hit getting harder and harder.

“Fuckin sick bastard!!!!!” Daryl yelled as he continued beating Shane. Before he laid one final punch on Shane Daryl grabbed his collar and leaned his close so Shane could hear him.

“Go with god asswhole” Daryl growl as he laid down that final punch killing Shane. Daryl huffed as he stabbed him in the brain with his knife and kicked his body down the hill and into the shrubbery. Putting the knife away Daryl huffed as he walked back to his tent. Glenn had cleaned up Lisa’s wounds and she was a much cleaner looking now. Glenn saw Daryl bloody fist and decided it was best he leave. Lisa thanked him as he scampered away. Daryl sat back down in front of Lisa and started tending to his own injury.

“W-what happened” Lisa struggled to get out

“Nothing I’m fine” Daryl lied as he cleaned his knuckles and wrapped them in a bandage.

“You killed him…” Lisa whispered surprised

“Course I did! Fucker had it coming too” Daryl cussed.

“Are you alright?” He finally asked as he cupped her face with his now bandaged hands.

“I never wanted you to kill for me” Lisa admits softly.

“I would do it again I’m not fearful of god” Daryl confessed openly.

“No one is gonna violate my girl and get away with it” Daryl explained sternly.

“Your girl?” Lisa asked with a crooked smile

“Yeah? Ya wanna be?” Daryl hummed and Lisa nods smiling.

“You know something ya still wonderful…this doesn’t change a thing, not a damn thing…you survived” Daryl comforted as she wrapped her arms around him. He pulls Lisa into his lap to hug her closer. She began to cry again this time it was softer, because she had her man. And she knew she was safe with him.

Part 8:

Daryl Dixon x O/C Lisa

Daryl walked down the hallway yarning and stretching his arms. The group was sitting around the table, t-dog was chuckling at Glenn as he pressed his forehead to the cool metal table groaning, he had a massive hangover.

“Morning Glenn Daryl joked tapping him on the back laughing.

“Ow, don’t ever ever ever let me drink again” he groans and Daryl laughed again. Merle gave him some good pain killers and water and Carol made sure he ate something. While everyone was eating breakfast the kids and Lisa were missing from the table, Daryl looked around for her but she was no where to be seen.

“She’s not here” Shane groaned sitting down

“Where is she?” Daryl growled back.

“She down stairs with the kids” Merle added pouting as he helped Glenn have a sip of water. Daryl shook his head smiling at poor Glenn then walking over to the railing. As he peeked over he saw the kids playing blindfolded tag Lisa was wearing the blindfold trying to catch Carl and Sophia, the most likely roped her into it. Daryl chuckled as he watched her snatch Carl and pull him into her arms kissing him on the cheek while he just laughed wildly. Rick appeared next to Daryl smiling holding a piece of half eaten toast.

“She really something huh?” Rick chuckles watching them play.

“Ain’t ya glad ya brought her back with us” Daryl joked.

“Aren’t you? You too seem to be getting close” Rick smirked knowingly and Daryl rolled his eyes playfully.

“Yeah she’s nice I like er” Daryl explains a light blush dusting his nose.

“Me too” Rick chuckled patting his shoulder and walking back to the table to join Lori. As Daryl returned his attention back to the kids he saw them try to run around lisa but accidentally knocked her to the floor both kids landing on top of her. All three were cackling like hysterical loons laying on the floor. Lisa sat up lifting the cloth from her eyes still laughing with a big goofy smile. Carol called Sophia and Carl up for some food. And Daryl opted to make Lisa up a plate of whatever was there, as she walked back up the stairs he stood at the top offer her his arm. She happily linked arms with him as he lead her over to a couple empty seats. She sat down and he placed her plate down in front of her. She thank him quietly before Merle and Glenn burst out laughing distracting everyone.

“You did not!” Glenn snored laughing

“I swear to God she was the most beautiful thing I’d ever seen so here am I making my move trying to see how far I could get with her without losing my nuts when the whole time she was actually a he” Merle explained laughing at his embarrassment.

“No way!” Glenn erupted in a laughing fit. The rest of the group joined in even Lisa and Daryl.

“Oh god I was so embarrassed I wanted to crawl under a rock and die!” Merle confessed covering his eyes with hands smiling like an idiot. Shane of course was the one to kill the mood asking Jenna the truth about what happened here even everyone agreed not to press him so early this morning. But it would seem everything escalated from there Jenna showed everyone a visual of a walker transformation which was extremely shocking. And then Jenna started shutting down all the power, rick discovered that the clock in the computer lab was counting down and then vi Jenna’s assistant explained that a total facility decontamination would occur AKA a huge explosion. Everyone was frantically packing their things and rushing out the door as Jenna let everyone out Lisa stood looking up a Jenna in his white coat, he reminded her of Valerie the nurse back in Ward A. She’s probably long gone now sadly.

“Thank you” Lisa mumbled to Jenna as everyone rushed out the door.

“The day will come when you won’t be” Jenna preached and sat down on the ground with Andrea who decided to stay.

“Lisa!” Daryl yelled as he grabbed her hand and rushed her out of there.

Rick managed to break the glass of one of the front windows and was helping everyone out the building one by one quickly. Shane lead everyone back to cars shooting walkers that dared come near them. Everyone piled into the cars and the r v ducking down low. Lisa jumped into the truck with Daryl and ducked down low Daryl covered her protectively.

Boom

The explosion erupted in a mass of fire and rubble blowing throwing the entire building. Engulfing the whole thing in flames. For a moment everyone sat up staring at it as the flames sore high.

“Ya alright?” Daryl mumbled straightening up Lisa nods looking both impressed and shocked.

“Yeah I’m okay” Lisa assured him. Dale lead the line in the r v driving away down the road the others followed close behind him searching for their next refuge.

As they drove Lisa rolled down the window and leaned her head out the window feeling the wind blow through her wild messy hair. She closed her eyes smiling Daryl glanced at her amaze she could smile so soon after something like that.

“How can you smile?” Daryl posed slightly concerned. Lisa open her eyes for a moment and looked at him sweetly.

“I’m a psycho with schizophrenia” Lisa confessed shrugging like it was casual. And Daryl who didn’t quite understand nodded as if he did.

“I feel alive” Lisa giggled as she closed her eyes again enjoying the cool air. Later on they stopped at gas station and Daryl happened to find a hefty book about psychotic and schizophrenic tendencies which he would definitely read later. It might help him understand Lisa a bit more he thought when he picked it up.

The group continued on until they stopped in a clearly off from the road. It was guarded by the trees so no one dead or alive could see their lights. This would be where’d they sleep tonight. Everyone thought it best to sleep in the cars tonight to prevent possible looting. Lisa slept soundly on her side facing away from Daryl, he however read that book he found earlier with a small flashlight in one hand for light. Doing his best not to disturb Lisa while she slept. 

The book stated very clearly that:

Schizophrenia is a chronic psychotic disorder characterized by hallucinations, delusions, and disordered thinking, often treated with medication. And that Psychopathy is an antisocial personality disorder defined by a lack of empathy, manipulation, and superficial charm. While schizophrenia involves a break from reality, psychopathy entails a calculated lack of remorse. And Lisa had both which he couldn’t image would be easy seen as though those two things seemed so conflicting of each other. He sighed as he closed the book to shut off the light deciding to do more research tomorrow, for now he was ready to go to sleep. Slowly he pulled Lisa’s blanket up over her shoulders making sure she warm enough he even gave her his blanket too just in case she needs another. He was too hot anyway the car probably wasn’t the best idea but he would have to suffer for tonight. As he drifted off to sleep he seared the memory of Lisa’s smile and of unusual laugh in the back of his mind for another time.

He slept easy that night with his crossbow close and Lisa to his side sleeping soundly. He was right where he wanted to be. Safe and with her.

The next morning while they were slowly waking up Lisa rubbed her eyes and turned to face Daryl propping herself up on her elbows looking over at him curious.

“How’d you know I liked the rocks” Lisa mumbled holding one of said colourful rocks in hand as she looked at him.

He shrugged with a knowing smirk.

“I didn’t Carl found em like I said and I guess I just hoped it would make ya smile” Daryl explained truthfully.

“Why?” Lisa pressed on and Daryl smiled bigger knowing she wasn’t gonna let it go.

“Course I like ya…it’s not that hard to believe?” Daryl admitted and smiled bowed her head nervously, smiling as she did.

“No I guess not” Lisa remarked as she looked up at him.

“Your really wonderful Lisa” Daryl blurted out before he could stop himself but now that he happened he got all awkward and nervous getting up quickly Lisa grabbed his arms and pulled him to look at her gently.
