these writers fucking hate louis it’s UNDENIABLE at this point. i literally cannot believe what i just watched. why has this season been a louis de pointe du lac humiliation ritual and why the HELL does he have to apologise to armand?? the man who caused him hell for 77 years and orchestrated the death of his daughter but louis is the one who has to give an apology?? it’s absolutely disgusting.

assad zaman's acting was absolutely incredible and for WHAT

maybe i am just armandpiled but i feel like the writers are absolutely mocking armand fans with that finale.

they purposefully put "signs" and red herings into the other episodes for it to look like he was ominously planning something (in relation to the great convergence in particular)

only to then "reveal": armand's motivation had nothing to do with what he was talking about the whole time, his reasons were petty and nonsensical and because we wanted to humiliate louis even more. don't you feel foolish now for liking him/thinking his reasons would be understandable?"

honestly i almost laughed out loud when he just fucks off after his last scene in the finale

that's it? that's all it amounts to???

Also, re Claudia saying she lied about Lestat’s rape comments — if we take that to be true, what are the writers saying actually happened? Claudia got on the train, tried to leave, and….? What? Like genuinely, why did she come back?

Did Lestat show up and threaten her DIFFERENTLY? Or did he not show up on the train at all? Are they saying her Evil Scheming Black Girl Mastermind plan was in action from way back when she was asking Louis to leave with her, and her whole departure and return was just a series of manipulative theatrics to poison Louis against Lestat? And this was her goal not because she hated Lestat but because she actually (checks notes) apparently preferred him, but found Louis easier to manipulate…??

Like… even if all this retconning wasn’t rooted in antiblackness and misogynoir (which it is), it’s also just terrible/absurd writing like where’s the logic ???? 🫠
