plans! let’s go! i’m just popping down my intentions here. i plan on keeping all three of my muses, and tbh, not much will be changing. 

MINHEE : will hopefully be joining lily as their main rapper, main dancer & vocal or their main dancer, vocal & rapper. i’m leaning towards the latter, i’m just a silly libra who thinks too hard. either way, everyone cheer because minhee’s finally going to get to be in the girl group of her dreams and release mf GEE!!! forgot to say that minhee would hopefully be being lily’s maknae too!

EUNAH : will most likely be joining candy as their main vocal. i like all the younger gen girl groups a lot, so i’m also a little tempted by them, but i think candy’s slightly earlier debut and the survival show storyline will help eunah’s personal storyline translate the best. as mentioned, i am a dumbass libra so actually no, i’m gonna take inspiration from what i did back in the ideal concept task and have eunah hopefully join andromeda as one of their main vocal (1)!

DOWOON : ideally, dowoon would be taking over as cloud’s main dancer, lead vocal & (potentially) leader. i love his position as it is now, so i think having him take up the mantle of leader again would be really cool!

that’s about it! i’ll probably be making new blogs for them all too and also be putting together an actually coherent format for tracking my points.

when it came to opinions on lipgloss, minah was probably smack in the middle of the other two, more leaning into minhee’s direction than hyeju’s. because as much as hyeju seemed to despise lipgloss, minhee seemed to absolutely adore it, giving for a fun contrast for minah depending on who of her fellow members she was hanging around. she defintiely was a little more nuanced about it than minhee, could see what it was that disgruntled hyeju but for the most part, she felt positive. “you look stunning!” she beamed at minhee, helping her fluff her skirt a little. “you always looked the best out of all of us in these dresses anyway. don’t tell hyeju i said that.” she laughed, sending the younger a quick wink.

minah grimaced lightly thinking about the other outfit waiting for her. sure, the lipgloss dresses were always a bit much but they were iconic. the hurt locker outfits on the other hand… kind of just felt like they were trying to be hard to appeal young and hip, the tube socks and sports shorts and cropped jersey with big golden jewelry not something minah would have picked out. “i’m sure some of them will, maybe not all but there is a reason we get to perform again no?” she offered with a warm smile. “and we still care about lipgloss, that has got to count for something as well no?”

“why shouldn’t i tell her that?” minhee chirps, pulling back from minah’s shoulder with a self-satisfied smile. she flips her hair over her shoulder -- hey, it’s kinda new that she can do that again! she missed having long hair. “i think she’d be happy to hear it. or at least, i don’t think she’d mind. she doesn’t like them.” minhee punctuates her sentence with a spin, arms out with her hands flexed and one leg tucked up next to the opposite knee. “but while we’re talking about it, i think you look the best. your smile is the most refreshing out of all of us.” kind eyes, so often framed by bangs, made kinder by minah’s soft smile. in minhee’s eyes, she’s like a flower. 

“i was, but i was a gold star trainee. i got to do a few covers.” the fantasy festival was actually her first appearance to the public. the fact that minhee remembered her kind of surprised her. the older women obviously had a talent for remembering faces. “don’t worry about it.” she said letting out a small laugh. “i hope your right.” she didn’t really care when she’d debut and training wasn’t all that bad for her. but maybe things were different for minhee. “and i’ll keep that in mind.“

there is a possibility marigold won’t make it. it’s always a possibility. being under gold star is a crutch but not a promise. and if she was honest she doesn’t think she’d care if they failed. it was unlikely due to two members of element making up half the lineup. but the world liked to keep you on your toes. if they were to fail she’d go back home. her relationship with biyu would have to be okay where it is. she couldn’t stay in seoul. "i guess i should also introduce myself. i’m daiyu, gold star trainee.” she said laughing at minhee’s mock salute. she starts eating her salami and cheese combo. “i now wish i would have brought wine. but i guess pretending will have to do.”

minhee clicks her fingers, nodding excitedly. “right! now i know! i remember dancing to your cover of yes or yes while i was backstage!” as she says the wish song’s title, her thumb and index finger form little os, and she copies the dance, moving them either side of her face. “so cute!” so sue her, maybe there’s still a couple of wish songs she wishes she could claim for herself. maybe if she ever has another solo concert she could cover them... hm. probably not, but a girl could dream. 

“look!” minhee skipped over to minah, landing in front of her with a spin. “ah, it all fits so perfectly!” yeah, of course it did. this was bc’s anniversary concert -- they’d done as many fittings and rehearsals for it as their schedules allowed over the last couple of weeks. regardless, there was still something so magical to minhee about wearing lip gloss stage outfits, even if it was only to go out and sing two songs, before the three of them would be whisked back into their dressing room to change again. she was gonna give those two songs everything she had ... or, well, about 60 per cent or so. the other 40 per cent was reserved for their boring lipstick set.

“minhee!” alice replied with the same tone her elder had used, returning the grin. minhee was one of alice’s favorite people, and part of her couldn’t believe her fortune in running into her. she took the seat, still smiling. “thank you! can you believe i’m twenty two already?” she asked, shaking her head. she’d always assumed she’d have things figured out at such an age, but she felt new as ever to any given issue.

alice full-on cackled at minhee’s response to her invitation. she couldn’t help it! she was just so funny, without even trying. “i love you,” she informed her friend. “and yes, two of them - one is strawberry shortcake inspired and one is strawberry cake with strawberry frosting.” she held up the bags in turn, though considering her hands were full of bags, it mostly just looked like she was curling with them. 

“wah, be quiet! what do you mean already?” she gently smacked alice on the arm, shaking her head disapprovingly at her. “you’re still so young. i wanna be that age again.” and it was true -- roll back the years just a handful, well, maybe four or five, and lipstick would be back in their heyday. she’d swear if asked that she’d moved on, and for the most part, that was true. she had her solo activities to fall back on, and she felt safe and established in her career. but, she’d be lying if she said she didn’t miss the days when lipstick were guaranteed to at least get some wins to make the promotional cycle feel somewhat worthwhile. 

time: late afternoon, July 11th summary: alice wants to share birthday treats. for: you?

alice was exceptionally excited. it was her birthday, after all! she’d spent the majority of the day at a fansign, which she’d enjoyed immensely, but it was nothing compared to the sheer joy of hitting several bakeries in search of the perfect birthday treat. there were many strong contenders outside the cake family, but if she went by tradition, it had to be some sort of cake, right? she thought so, at least.

so one, two, eight, twelve stops later, her tiny frame could be seen lugging as many bags as stops she’d made, a dozen cakes there for the tasting. spotting a familiar face in the street, alice approached with a smile. “hi! do you wanna taste test cakes with me? i’m trying to find the best birthday treat in seoul!” the explained enthusiastically. she didn’t really want to be alone today, after all, but she couldn’t justify a visit to her family. 

“alice!” minhee yelped, half standing to attention, not expecting to see alice, weighed down by a seemingly uncountable amount of bags, when she turned around. she yanked down her facemask and grinned wickedly at her once she gained her composure, and plopped her ass back down on the bench, patting the space beside her for alice. “i was just about to message you! happy birthday!”

hello! it’s me, the perpetually absent as of late mun of minhee, eunah, dowoon & seungwoo. to summarize: i’ve been having the worst luck irl for about three months straight. it’s been one thing after another and i no longer am able to tell you what day of the week it is. (like, really.) great, now that that’s over, consider this my plot call for the new quarter. i’ve decided to plot for all my muses through minhee’s account & my d!scord to try and keep everything together as well, so please like/reply to this post for anything under the cut that interests you for any of my kids! i’ve really missed you, famed <3

daiyu didn’t know a lot of idols outside of gold star. she barely knew the idols under gold star. not because she doesn’t want to, but because as a trainee she spent most of her days in the dance studio. when she wasn’t practicing she was at home sleeping. and on her days off she certainly wasn’t spending them at the company. she was pretty busy this month, but she feels it will only get worse after debut. she really didn’t mind practicing. it’s not like she had anything better to do. she came to seoul to be an idol. she had no roots here besides biyu so being an idol is all she had.

“no. i’m actually under gold star.” and while yes she was set to debut later on in the year she wasn’t going to talk about it just yet. it wasn’t official and she couldn’t risk word getting out. “debut date to be determined.” she said letting out a small laugh. “honestly i don’t know when i’m going to debut.” and she honestly didn’t care. she was content with being a trainee indefinitely. but it seemed that wasn’t going to happen. she was going to make the most of it and try to enjoy it. “sadly no prosecco, but i did bring sparkling grape juice.“

“huh ... but you were at the fantasy festival thing, right? i totally know your face!” cheeks flushed with embarrassment, minhee cringes at her mistake, and tries her best to make a flustered recovery as she sits down, legs crossed, for the picnic. “you’ll have to forgive me, it’s hard to keep up with my own schedules, never mind everyone else’s.” minhee lets out a soft aah as the gold star trainee explains. “hopefully it’ll be soon! let me tell you a secret. being a trainee sucks, and being a rookie also kind of sucks, but after a while, you get to relax, i promise.” 

at first he hadn’t noticed it because he was busy contemplating murder on the rain, but now that he paid more attention he saw that he had happened to hit up a familiar face. familiar might be saying too much for he didn’t really know the girl that well personally, but they had a brief encounter in america during rehearsals. quite wild an encounter if you asked him considering she and her group was the girl group everyone listened to during his late teenage years. of course he had felt excited back then and he did now as well even though he knew better than to bombard her with fanboy behaviour out of the blue. they were collegues now in a sense.

“that would be me!” he grinned, rather proud that she could actually remember the name he went by off stage and not just his stage name. seeing her excited body language, made siwoo rather happy himself – most people walked by as fast as possible, heads down, curses filling their mouth at the rain and at getting soaked. he could understand why, because it wasn’t nice to be wet and cold, but it was also why he disliked rainy weather: only the fewest people actually enjoyed being out in it, and that went against siwoo’s smile agenda. “wow, you’re too kind, sunbaenim!” he said with exaggerated surprise and eager as she not only offered him to pay for the trip he had proposed but also something to keep him dry with. “i would love one.”

good. her memory was still serving her well, it seemed. “no way! think nothing of it -- i’d feel bad making a rookie pay for anything.” after all, she added internally, you’ve got your training debt to think about... or maybe he didn’t? huh. had he even been a trainee before he went on the show? “actually, were you a trainee anywhere before getting onto that show?” if he was, gold star would probably make him pay back whatever it took to buy out his previous contract. if he wasn’t, then he might actually get paid before vive disband. lucky.

either way, she’d already offered to pay and grab him a poncho, so she couldn’t just take it back depending on his answer. how scummy would that make her look? gross. minhee zipped past him and through the convenience store’s automatic doors, and bought the ponchos in record time, eager to get back out. yeah, she hated the rain most of the time, but if she had plans, and wasn’t just stuck in it for no good reason, she didn’t mind that much. 

this was her style. they were going to end up basically promoting back to back, but minhee could power through that easily enough when it came to a good song. ticket had been nice enough -- really, she’d liked it a lot. that one spinning arm part of the choreography kept her entertained all month. but, hurt locker was really her style. for as long as bee had released summer bops, and then once wish had basically started doing so too, minhee had been so jealous. they’d released their own fair share of songs during the summer, but none of them felt properly summery themed, except for holiday, all night and party. the rest were just lipstick songs that coincidentally were released during summer. hurt locker was just what she’d been waiting for.

that’s why it was so disappointing when she saw the way the lines had been divided up. their leader was really getting the whole rap part? they’d shared it for the last couple of lipstick’s title tracks, after all. the rest of it was okay though, she guessed. the bits she did have were cute, and the choreography was fun. overall, she liked the dance itself much more than ticket’s choreo, but the point dance wasn’t quite as entertaining as ticket’s ... though she doubted any song she got would have something in the future as fun as that. it was sort of sad to her that otherwise the song seemed to be received sort of lukewarmly among the other members. sure, it wasn’t anything big and didn’t make a splash like genie or the boys, but she’d accepted that they were past that stage in their careers. they probably weren’t going to ever get something as career changing and exciting as that ever again. minhee, as sad as it was, had accepted that.

so, she’d take funny arm spinning dances and have her fun while she still could. she’d take any of the summer songs that bc threw their way, and enjoy whatever time she had promoting as a member of lipstick left. at least this time around, she wasn’t a sexy train conductor ... taxi driver ... person. they even made her wear sunglasses for some of the stages, and keeping them on had been an exercise all of its own. whatever the shtick they were going for across all of ticket’s stage outfits was supposed to be, it had gotten old fast, and minhee was glad to be rid of it. she much preferred being able to hop around in cloth shorts that were comfortable despite still being form fitting, and some cute tops. these were the memories of lipstick that she wanted, whenever bc proved netizens right and sent them on their separate ways.

minhee almost threw up on the poor stylist who was pinning in the waist of her stripy green shirt to be adjusted a couple centimetres. that day, whenever it came, was going to so totally fucking suck. somehow, she saw it coming that lipstick would disband before decipher, bee or knight ever did. how was knight more stable than lipstick these days? stupid goeun ... she smiled to herself. she was finally at the point where she could just say stupid goeun without getting sad over her. when did that happen?
