Buenos tardes, Barcelona. This is the real thing. Park Guell at sundown might just be its finest hour. Blessed to be here.

The Mediterranean Sea. I didn’t have time to hesitate. I reached passed the waves and dove right in. The Mediterranean Sea is familiar to so many, but to me, it remains a mystery. In those waters, it was as if I was being held in some kind of maternal cradle. I felt my heart race as my body temperature sizzled in the brisk waters, then a swell of warmth as I swam laps against the tide. I can’t imagine a more wonderful memory of my adventures so far. But I bet I’ll have some competition very soon. Monserrat is on the horizon.
Fire hooper. My dear friend, Alyssa displayed her skills in a park in Barcelona tonight. Yes- for cheap caroscene and singed arm hair.
I’m all checked in and ready to head out to the airport. If only the weight limit was 100lbs.. Ready or not, Barcelona, here I come!
San Sebastian. Photo by Megan Gilger. The composition and texture of this photo is so intricate and real it makes me feel simple. I am ready for my reality to look something like this next week. Woot.

El Camino del Rey, Malaga, Spain. I’m on the edge. I’m almost there. With mom in town and Spain just around the corner, I’m impressed how God continues to keep me in the present moment. So grateful for these remaining days before Spain. Patience makes the heart grow fonder.

I wanted to remind myself the real reason I’m moving to Spain for two months. Tortilla, I dream of thee. Tortilla, I yearn for your caramelized onion. Tortilla, you fill me. Tortilla, you are so good. Tortilla, your concept of egg and potato consume me. Tortilla, I love thee.
Laberint d’Horta. Barcelona, Spain. I’m walking into a maze today, one I won’t know how to navigate alone. But good news, I’m taking the step with God as my guide now and forever more. Today, November 1st I was baptized in front of my entire church community and I feel an overwhelming amount of peace and desire for God’s love. It looks like a maze but it feels like pure joy. Trust.
Cash, please. It’s harder and harder to come cash these days but there are still places that are cash ONLY. One spot is a bakery in Brooklyn, specially close to my heart, called Bakeri. It’s in Williamsburg on Wythe Ave. This is a beautiful photograph by Raul P. Pellicer of a what looks like an old school spot in Spain. Please click his VSCO site below.

Sagrat Cor Church. Just above the theme park I posted about awhile back. Along the Catalonian Coastal Range. Photo by Pavel Kosivtsov.

Casa Milà, better known as La Pedrera. Built by Catalan architect, Antoni Gaudí during the years 1906–1912. It is located at 92, Passeig de Gràcia in the Eixample district of Barcelona, Catalonia, Spain. I love weird places and interesting buildings. I’ve read Gaudi built this for a married couple.
Burgundy Street, Madrid, Spain.
“Insect lover of the sun, Joy of thy dominion!
Sailor of the atmosphere,
Swimmer through the waves of air,
Voyager of light and noon,
Epicurean of June,
Wait I prithee, till I come
Within ear-shot of thy hum,—
All without is martyrdom.”
An excerpt from Emerson’s, The Humble Bee. Written in 1899.
