The three of you are happy even as the war marches on, and you pour over battle formations and enemy numbers because even if things are okay with him there are still so many people counting on you to save them. You love him and he loves you but he clearly doesn’t love you enough to respect your autonomy and all of it comes crashing down because he’s lied to you about this and that means he’s lied about so many other things. You’ve failed. The person he could’ve been is gone now and there’s no going back, so you have to put him to sleep so he can never hurt anyone again.

But as someone who really prefers taking my time getting through games (and never played Legends Arceus so I expect this to be a lot harder for me 🫠), I really hope to avoid any spoilers, leaks, etc. for the foreseeable future/don’t plan to share any spoilers myself for some time.
