Truth looks better on me

than peacekeeping ever did.

I stopped editing myself

for fragile comfort.

Code switching is a hobby now—

not a requirement.

Clarity isn’t cruelty.

Honesty isn’t hostility.

If my truth disrupts the room,

It needed to move!

i’ve swallowed too much silence for the sake of keeping peace.

Held space for folks who treat healing like a hobby,

and honesty like an attack.

My light attracts what ain’t ready for it.

then blames me when it burns.

But let’s be real—

the storm ain’t around you, sis.

it’s within.

and that shadow following you?

that’s not my sun dimming. that’s your own mess catching up.

You came to me for refuge,

but flinched when i showed up real.

You didn’t want truth—you wanted softness

You didn’t want love—you wanted agreement

You didn’t want a friend—

You wanted a mirror you could interrupt.

I’m not her.

No more soft landings for hard-headed hearts.

No more “bigger person” discounts.

No more soul ties with spirit leeches.

No more “be the bigger person” for folks still unraveling in grown people bodies.

You were a guest in my energy.
