“T-Two months?” Timmy asked, his eyes growing wide as he just looked at the other. “Ah man I’m sorry” even though he knew that Flo was teasing him, he couldn’t help but to feel a little bad. It was his curse for caring too much. He had always been a rather sensitive soul even though in recent years he had tried to hide it from the rest of the world in hopes that it would protect him from scrutiny. “Yeah you could really say that I have a full plate at the moment. But it’s still no excuse to not know that you were in town. And I could never forget ya. So there is no need to worry about that. My loved ones will always have a special place in my heart. Even if we lose touch and stuff” he then licked his lips and looked down at the sand, drawing circles into it and smiling softly to himself. “Work, work and even more work. And when I am here.. guess what? I take on more projects. I just can’t for the life of me have a still moment because I just wanna make movies and tell stories. What about you?”

"Timmy, it’s fine,” the actress insisted as she reached out to place her hand on his arm gently as a way to show that it really was okay. “Truth be told, I’ve been a bit of a hermit since I got here, which is unlike me as it is, but with all of the Black Widow press and jetting to premiers and the like, I’ve just been exhausted once I’m back here and have been knocking out at an embarrassingly early time. Now that the weather is finally warming up you’ll be seeing a lot more of me. I thrive in the sun and now that I get some time away from work, I’m making the most of it.” A smile spread across her face as she listened to him speak, she always appreciated how genuine he came off and how he was always very caring and knew how to show it in just the right way. “I’d say you’re in the right job for that, then. You’re incredible at it, as well. I think at this point someone could give you the role of ‘man reading every word and their definitions straight from the dictionary’ and you’d be nominated for an Oscar. Good for you, too. I’m forever in awe of you and your talent.” With a shrug of her shoulders, she followed his motions and began running her hands through the sand, drawing circles over and over again. “Just remember to take a break sometimes, yeah? I do say that somewhat selfishly, too. I want you to have some time off so I can actually spend some time with you.” 

happy accidents is what i like to call it. we should keep doing that. i mean, happy accidents make you… surprised, happy and other stuff all at once. and i mean sometimes what is a mistake can turn into something that is way way better than you thought it would be, right? good, i like to have an open space with you babe.

We should keep doing that. We could use more happy accidents in our lives, I think. Absolutely. I mean, we sometimes make mistakes for a reason. Sometimes our mistakes lead us into some of the best decisions we end up making. Although you’re perfect, so I wouldn’t dare call you a mistake. 

It’s okay because now that we live near each other, you can borrow mine! Just don’t show it to non-Marvel people because they can’t know all our secrets & rules. A little of Benjamin Button wouldn’t hurt me, no! Truth, and nowadays, it’s hard to see what’s a wig and not so, plenty of options to help you out. Sadly, nothing for the brain. I did read about a successful brain transplant so, if I really go downhill, we can always trade brains, you know? Hey, I was a one-hit wonder, but many people seem to be at their end of Marvel. Time for new people, and I’m excited to see it all. That, or give fake spoilers while acting like you giving real ones. I can already imagine every hardcore fan being mad and then be embarrassed and many deleted tweets when the movie comes out, so, yes, play with them.

Ohh, sneaky. Yup, I’m coming over to grab your copy and read up on everything that I can. I won’t tell a soul that it was you who let me borrow it, I promise. Exactly! I mean, if anyone can pull off a Benjamin Button act in this day and age, I’d say that it’s you. I just feel like you have magic in you and could do that sort of thing. Also, let’s think positive here. You still have many many years to go before your brain just completely gives up on you, so science is bound to improve and get better before or by then. Fear not! I’ll be sure that you get the best brain on the market once yours takes a massive hit. A one-hit wonder that made a lot of impact. I remember the way Twitter blew up when it was announced you were joining the Far From Home cast. I’m really not sure if I’ll do much in the world myself either, so I’ll happily join you in the one-hit wonder club if you’re comfortable making some room for me. Alright, I’ll do it. But when millions of people come at me for misleading them, I’m sending them to you for encouraging that kind of behavior. 

Exactly that’s the way I saw it, and honestly, considering the slam work gave me after that, I guess it was the nice way fate had to tell me: here have some fun, before I pack your month and life with work! And I have had quite exciting weeks, though as exciting as it can be with some filming delays. Oh, another one in the club of “we want tans, but we end like lobsters” which not fair. I always love coming back to town, as much as I love work, I tend to miss town a lot and I’m glad to be back for this upcoming weekend.

I’m a big advocate of having fun and actually spending your time relaxing before heading back to work. We all work so much, it isn’t normal for us to go so non-stop with very little breaks in between. Filming delays aren’t ever fun, though. At least you’re back for the time being and even if you just get to catch up on sleep while you’re here, it’s still going to be time well spent. God, yes. The sun wasn’t made for people like us. In reality, people like us aren’t made for the sun, but it’s easier and feels less bad to blame the sun for it all. 

I couldn’t agree more. I absolutely love it here. Of course, my mum’s home back in England will always have a special place in my heart. I know I do. I’m a workaholic though and I just submerge myself in whatever project I’m working on. But I am trying to make more time for myself to just relax and take it easy. Well next time you head down to the drive-in theater, let me know and I’ll accompany you. That way you don’t have to sit in your car all alone. I think it’s safe to say that you’re just talented when it comes to all things culinary. I mean, your home cooked meals are always to die for. 

Oh, definitely. I retract my statement: this is the best place to live second to my home in England with all of my dads amazing cooking. We just gotta make this place feel a little more like that place, even if it is hard to do. You have to! If you don’t, just know that word will get back to me and I’ll do everything in my power to get you to stop working. Snatch the pencil out of your hand, lock up your guitars, shred all your paper, I will go to the greatest lengths to make sure you get the rest that you so truly deserve. Sure! I know there are a few celebrations going on here this weekend and even though we aren’t, you know, Americans, any excuse to drink some beers on a beach is a good one to take advantage of. So how about next weekend? We’ll go through the drive-in and you can help me with the massive bucket of popcorn. Well, thank you. I do quite pride myself on my cooking. I did learn from the best chef himself, Clinton Pugh. He’d be very upset with me if I didn’t keep up his legacy.  

You know when you have a crazy moment and declare publicly you’re going to do something but then regret it and can’t go back on it because you made a big deal of it? Yeah, I did that. I quit social media but made an announcement that I was quitting and now I’m sitting here with my secret, fake Instagram account just stalking my family, hoping they don’t realize it’s me because I don’t want to wound my pride and go back on my word. Can I claim I was hacked and I never actually quit? I lasted like two days before I just had to know what everyone was doing though, do I at least get points for that? Moral of the story…..don’t start talking bad about me online because you think I can’t see it anymore. I’m weak and always watching, just under the new Instagram name of Joan.

I was going to tell you that I won’t tell your secret, but I think you did just reveal it to a small handful of people, Joan. I can promise you at the very least that I won’t repeat it to anyone else now that it’s out there. No one has to know. In all seriousness, I know exactly where you’re coming from. I have a weird relationship with social media as well. Weird in the sense that sometimes I just post on it a ton and then I just have to take a step back and stop it with all the posting. I feel like I can get pretty obsessive with it. Maybe I should be like you. I know you just say not to make a big deal and declare something publicly, but maybe I can use that to hold me accountable just a bit. But, if it fails (which it probably will) I need your help coming up with an alias. Joan is already taken so I need something just as good. 

Now that Doctor Strange has officially wrapped I’m on a bit of a hiatus from working. Since moving to town I’ve been busy with traveling and projects, and while I’ve been glad to squeeze in time for all the different events, I feel like I’ve been rushing through everything. So I’ve deemed the rest of summer as me kicking off a full summer of relaxation. Which also means getting to see the things around town that I haven’t gotten to fully appreciate, like the Getaway. So if anyone is looking to get some fun in the sun… or is willing to eat their way around Bayview’s finest food joints, I’m game for that too. Mean what better way to gear up for the Fourth of July anyway, right? @townofbayview​  

As you should! You’re one of the busiest people out there, I think. You deserve some time to rest and actually enjoy your home and the place that you’re living. With summer literally just barely starting, you have to make sure you get the most out of it as you can. Whether that’s relaxing it up, going on hikes, cooking up a storm, just do whatever will make Lizzie happy. My stomach is an endless well that is always down to eat anything and everything. So if you wanna go around town and make sure we make a stop at every single place and try all their food, I’m absolutely game. There are very few things I enjoy more than food. Can’t say I’ve ever celebrated the Fourth of July, but hey, first time for everything! I’m all for a party regardless. 

I truly wonder— Do you get like a town-issued prize once you’ve unpacked and gotten rid of all the boxes you’ve had to carry across the Atlantic Ocean? Perhaps some restaurant coupons or coffee shop giftcards? If the answer is no… then I gotta tell you, I’ll find myself utterly disappointed. I’ll be sleeping for approximately fifteen days or so until I find enough physical strength to deal with all that You know, there’s a teeny tiny little independent platform thing called Disney+ and I’ve got this show called Loki on there… kind of an underground character nobody knows about, you should check it out if you’ve got the time! No, but you should. At least a pat on the back for your efforts, right? As a fellow Brit who also made the trek out here, I’ll happy buy you a tea, coffee, or whatever you’d like for your hard work, so long as you do the same for the next one of us that moves in here. It’s always a great surprise to see you and your bright and shining face as well. I know, I know. I need to stop burying myself in work and take a break and get out for a bit. I mean, I can’t blame you because same. You’re supposed to stuff your face with food and have the time of your life while at the movies. It may not have been the most lady like thing, but it was certainly the most Florence thing you could have done. I mean that as a good thing, by the way. Well my schedule is starting to clear up a bit more, so I can pretty much make time for you whenever. How about sometime this weekend?

I feel like anyone would have to really try to get their face to not be bright and shiny while living here. This is without a doubt the best place that I’ve ever lived. Yes, yes. You need to come out for air. Not that I’m really one to talk, I’ve been drowning in press tour stuff as well, but you need to come up for air for sure. Have the time of my life I definitely did. I couldn’t tell you the last time I actually saw a movie in person, it was nice to be back in that space again, even if I was just in my car all by myself, eating my way in a bunch of junk. Stuffing my face full of food without a care in the world? Definitely the most Florence thing I could have done. My love for food runs incredibly deep. That sounds perfect. How do you feel about going to Davey Jones’? 

The sound of her voice caused a soft smile to form on his lips. Looking at her, he shrugged. “Seems like the two of us have the same favorite spot” he teased and then nodded to his own words. It had been a rather hectic year and it would only become more hectic with the roles he had picked up and the movies that he would film. It was so exciting, he could barely wait. He was excited for his devoted fans to see the movies they had been waiting so long to see. And he was about ready to move onto new and bigger things. Arching a single brow, Timmy shifted his gaze back out onto the open, blue ocean. “How long have you been in town? And how come I only now find out?” Timothée asked, his tone as soft as it always was whenever he spoke to Florence. 

The pair hadn’t been in touch as often as they once were since Little Women and all the press tours that came along with it had wrapped up. It was a shame, really. She loved having Timmy around, and to say that she wasn’t excited to hear that they were living in the same town would have been a complete lie. She had watched as her friend had risen to superstardom, but only though Twitter highlights and other news outlets. “I couldn’t tell you. I’ve been right under your nose for going on two months and this is the first time we’re seeing each other. If I didn’t know any better, I’d say you’re avoiding me,” the blonde playfully teased the other, while a smile turned up on her lips. “Really though, I don’t hold it against you. I’ve seen how busy you’ve been! What with all the new movie deals and everything else going on? Just promise me you won’t forget about your dear old friend Flossy when you’re far off hanging out with all the other big shots of the world, okay?” A low, raspy laugh escaped her lips before she reached out to gently nudge his arm. “But really, what’s been going on with you? Tell me everything.”

i like making stupid mistakes with you flo. very much. even though i wouldn’t call them stupid – they’re not, they’re just… nice mistakes. can mistakes be nice? perhaps i shouldn’t even call them mistakes. aw, i do want that picture of me on your door now, i’ll be disapppointed if that doesn’t  happen. i might go to your room even if i’m sober though, just so you know…

Mistakes can be nice. You know how they say happy accidents? Sometimes what starts off as feeling like it could be a mistake ends up being quite the opposite? That’s a nice mistake or a happy accident, whatever way you’d like to spin it, it all works. I’d agree that saying mistake somewhat loses it’s meaning when you’re looking at it in that scope though. Honey, you’re allowed into my room at any time. I’ll always have an open space for you whenever.

You’d think about it? Damn, Florence, I thought us, Marvel peeps, had this unspoken friendship where we only wish the other the best things, and don’t rat each other out to our siblings. Pretty sure, it was in one of their contracts — the no snitching part. No, no, my hair is still going strong, but the brain? Flew out of the window the moment I turned forty. Hey, it could be different for everyone else! Who knows what will leave you first? I think it’s the hair. No, no, jokes. No need to be frightened! I agree that Marvel fans are intense, but they forgave me for basically not knowing anything about the universe… I’m sure they are sweeter to a young actress who will take over the Marvel universe. If not, annoy them with ‘spoilers’ that are not true, but seriously, I know you’ll be wonderful!

In my defense, I’m still fairly new to the whole Marvel thing. I haven’t been given a copy of the secret handbook yet, I assume it must have gotten lost in the mail or something. You’re definitely going through it. My condolences to you and your brain, hopefully in the next decade you’ll do some reverse aging and get some of it back. No, I definitely think it’s the hair. Which, honestly, whatever. There’s wigs and things out there that can be used, there’s a way around that, but the brain is harder to make up for. I wouldn’t say I’m going to take it over! There’s some legends in the MCU, yourself included. I’m a newbie here. Thank you for your kind words, though. I’ll think of them before I begin any press interview for Black Widow. Should I pull a Tom Holland, do you think? Hold up the script of a new movie that’s coming out and cut the camera once I realize? 

please and thank you flo, if you come over tonight we’ll make it a whole night okay? slumber party and everything just to feel good about the weekend. we can remember the drunken stuff we’ve done… or maybe that we don’t remember. and no worries, next time i will for sure be going to your room, if i can find it. i feel for some reason that would have given me an even better night. oh god, streaking? you or everyone else or… just everyone? either way, that sounds wild. we should do it. 

That sounds like so much fun. After a night of some somewhat embarrassing behavior, it’s best to just forget and jump into some more fun things with people you know. Hmmm, we could, but why bring up all those cringey things we did while under the influence? Instead, you and I can make our own stupid mistakes. I’ll be sure to put something on the outside of my door so you know where to find me. Maybe it’ll be a big picture of you on my door with a big heart around your face. I mean, all I can tell you is that I’m jealous of whoever you did see that night. Everyone. It took some convincing but once I did it, I went all in. It was fun.
