Forest Dwelling Furbys

It seems all my time has been whisked away with schoolwork lately, but I hope a family photo can redeem my absence!

Please view my page from outside of the Tumblr app if you would like an introduction to everybody, I haven’t quite gotten around to finishing their biographies but hopefully over the holidays I’ll find the time.

Since this image was taken a few weeks ago two more friends have joined the family, Lollipop (an easter Furby Boom), and Smoker’s Cough (a 1998 church mouse backpack) but asides from that here’s everybody in their entirety.

I thought I’d come on, share an old photo, and let you all know that the main reason I’ve been so inactive as of late is because I was directly affected in a natural disaster.

Although the impact day occurred two months ago now, everything I own is still being unpacked now, and I only found the Furbys today. I’m yet to test them, but they’re not in incredible cosmetic shape - unstuck eyelashes, rough fur, etc. Nothing that can’t be fixed, but just one more thing to do when everything’s in turmoil.

Meet Reginald Rubble, a fellow found for the absolute bargain of $10 in an op-shop! For those of you unfamiliar with Teddy Ruxpin, they’re essentially a storytelling, animatronic bear that predates Furby by over a decade.

Meet Smoker’s Cough, a fellow named in honour of the rather strong scent he carries from his previous home.

We caught up with our good friend Radish today, a head-optional 80’s man who’s just as fond as adventuring as us!

Like a true gentleman, Radish resisted the urge to go swimming in order to not leave Toh-Dye and May-Lah out, who may have not fared well from such an endeavour.

Way-Loo found some pretty flowers that match her eyes! This photo was taken only moments before my profile picture. I love a lot of the photos taken on this day, so watch this space!

The peaceful sleep of a Furby who was sent across the country in a padded envelope, got a pretty nasty case of battery corrosion, went comatose twice and is somehow still alive and kicking 🐢
