Been kinda busy but I got a few pics of the ring nebula!

Hey everybody, been a while, but that’s not the point. Let’s get on to:

Fun space fact #5: The largest mountain in the solar system is on Mars, and it’s called Olympus Mons. Olympus Mons is a huge mountain that used to be a volcano, but is unfortunately inactive. Olympus Mons has a diameter of 624 km, which is insanely huge, and is almost the size of the entire US state of Arizona. It is also almost twice as tall as Mount Everest.

Fun space fact #4: Due to the rules placed by the astronomical union, there are only actually 8 planets in the whole universe.

Fun space fact: astronomers find rings on planets by tracking when its orbit crosses a star, and seeing when the rings pass over the star, creating a shadow.

Really bright pic of Jupiter and three of the Galilean moons, the fourth one was visible but it was out of my telescope’s range. Imma try again soon when Jupiter is a little less bright. One on the right is in an orange telescope filter.

Fun space fact #2: Pluto actually has 5 moons, these are Charon, Styx, Nix, Kerberos, and Hydra; in that order.

Fun space fact: Asteroids can have moons and even rings!
